Mine is set to an external drive, and it did install the extras there. The actual app installed on the main drive in the apps folder. So yes, you can define it and it does seem to know you want the app to go one place and the sounds to go in another.
Thanks, but the issue is that it doesn't seem to be working for some of us though. :)

I've created an Issue for it with Steinberg, so we'll see if anyone else experiences similar.

[EDIT - Ah, I missed something previously, I'm talking about Content specifically. Cubase 11 was, in fact, installed in the correct place. It's just that I've had a random assortment of Content end up in my preferred location and some in factory default location. The App itself is fine, no worries there.]

But €99.99 for new export options and automation curves in midi editor... hell no. Steinberg once again is falling behind the competition.
Cubase is the most feature advanced DAW... in what way is it falling behind the competition?

I personally have more advanced tools than C11 have to offer (Ozone/Neutron beat C11 Dynamic EQ, RX beat the spectral editing etc.). For me C11 has only 2 useful new features.

Keep trying. I had trouble yesterday with the e-licenser failing when trying to update it. Then on top of that, the download access code didn't work. So I tried again this morning and finally the e-licenser did update, and the download code worked and did activate.

Dear Cubase customers,
As you most probably have noticed, our license servers have been struggling with the overwhelming demand that has led to problems for many of you activating purchased update and full licenses since yesterday's release of Cubase 11.
We are sincerely sorry for letting you down like this, especially at a time that should be special and full of enjoyment, for you as our loyal customer but also for us as a company who have been working hard to release this version in these challenging times.
Our system was unable to cope with the many activations in this short period of time, and we have to admit to ourselves that our license management system as it stands has reached its capacity limits.
Rest assured, however, that no license has been lost.
In order to defuse the situation we have decided to interrupt the sale of new updates until the previously purchased updates have been processed by our license management system. For all of you who have not yet purchased but would like to do so, we kindly ask you to wait and check the Cubase website again for update availability.
Yours truly,
Andreas
President of Steinberg

Yeah - But that's not the point here. All those 3th party add-on's cost a lot of money. Way more than the Cubase upgrade! It's a bit silly to compare them future-wise and then say that the Cubase update is not worth it. For that update price you get lost of stuff that had cost you lots of money when you had to buy them from 3th party suppliers.

It's like getting cut down 3th party plug-ins for a cut down price. They are a bit less future-wise, but still worth the upgrade price.

And all those 3th party plug-in equivalents are just a part of the upgrade. I think, for instance, the improvements in Score editing are really nice and useful. Add to that the Advanced Audio Export, Sampler Track 2, Advanced Key Editor, Scale Assistant, Enhanced Synchronization and SpectraLayers One (there is more), and I think I got my money worth with this upgrade.

It's kind of weird that we get a download access code AND an authorization code. Why not just download and install it via the Download Assistant? It's not like it can run without the dongle authorization anyway. Bizarre choices here.

I'm on my second attempt today (don't want to overload the servers), not looking good. eLicenser won't even run a maintenance script. It must be a total crash-o-la over there.

This update is worth it to me for just the Sampler Track 2 (slicing! YES!) and being able to snap-to-notes in the CC editor of the piano roll. Wow.

I firmly believe they should compensate somehow for all the struggle people went through. I'm glad i didn't pull the trigger.

When will Steinberg learn, that their servers are hammered every time they release a major v.0 upgrade? Doesn't matter if Wavelab, Nuendo or Cubase. Although Cubase seems to constantly break pretty much everything (as in: it's always the worst case for Cubase)

The excuse by Ed Doll already felt... a bit wrong IMO (like I said, this is happening for years, especially since the company dropped boxed upgrades). Now the CEO of Steinberg (Andreas Stelling) is pulling the upgrade from the store? Oof!

Funny enough, Steinberg only removed the 10.5 > 11.0 upgrade for the time being, all other upgrades/cross-grades and full versions are still available.

We had the "iLokalypse" - twice (if memory serves me right)
Anybody got a catchy name for the apparent eLicenser "Apocalypse"? Or are we not there yet?
