True, HOF Mini is not for that. You might want to consider the MASH footswitch, though.

^Yes, that does look interesting. The Valeton footswitch is only dual purpose, allowing you to switch the Reverb tail (or “Trail” :) ) on/off, as well as bypass.

It seems a bit of a bargain at £99 but I’m wary of TC stuff after the takeover and production sharing with Behringer. Music Tribe seem to not distinguish between quality levels. Harmon (now owned by Samsung) share production but, from my experience of JBL, Soundcraft, AKG, Digitech and dbx, seem to maintain overall quality levels across brands, whilst having different levels for different brands.

It’s a reasonable concern with regards to newer and future products. I wouldn’t worry about the older products, they’re still made in Thailand at the same factory as before. Made In China isn’t necessarily bad but it will mean that the factory has changed, so keep an eye out for that.

Good to know, I wasn’t sure if they’d change the production of existing products.

There are further discounts on some pedals on eBay. The seller real_sonicake is the one I’ve been buying from most, they don’t just sell Sonicake stuff, other brands too. Just ordered Valeton Coral Mod II for £23. It looks like it will fill most of the gaps on my mini board. Also, it has a detune mode which is ubiquitous in my sound.

BTW the Valeton Coral Verb II is good, though it didn’t come with velcro which is a bit cheap given the list price. All the modes are usable with the Plates and Mod being the best and the Shimmer the worst (though not bad, just too mild) IMO. Even the novel(ty) ones have a use as pads, with mix at 100%. The Springs have a good twang about them but I’ll need to get used to them before judging.

If anyone is looking for an Xotic BB Preamp (one of my personal favorites) on a budget, the Caline CP-74 Action Replay Distortion gets very close when you turn the bass up and the treble down.

I have a Chase Bliss Preamp MK2 on loan for a little bit and I'm of two minds about it.
On the one hand... holy shit, it sounds freaking awesome.
On the other hand... everything about it is ridiculous. I mean, motorized faders? But sure, it's $750; why not use motorized faders?! The buttons they use are over the top too. I love it when a 1590D enclosure looks tiny compared to the rest of my pedals.

But it really does sound freaking awesome and it's definitely one of those '100% sweet spots' kind of deals. It can get a little ugly but never too ugly. MIDI implementation is off the chart for a pedal and the way the faders follow the expression pedal or MIDI input, makes for quite a show. I'm surprised at how well the Mid section works as a wah pedal. I still have a lot to explore but I think if you are looking for a $750 Fuzz/Preamp/Wah pedal, this is probably the one to get.

I never heard of that one, but I'm told the Caline CP-54 The Big Orange is an OK substitute for the BB, if you're on a budget.

Thanks, I'll try that one soon. Their other one, the CP-18, is anemic in comparison to the BB Pre.

Considering buying an Eventide H9 or H9 Core? Even though you won't be able to purchase individual algorithms much longer? Better hurry - and get some of the algos as VST for free:
https://www.eventideaudio.com/one-h9-rule-them-all

There's an upgrade option to get all the algorithms, but buying a H9 Max seems cheaper - unless you find a used one in good shape.

(As to the VST bundle: if you already own some of the VSTs included, check your upgrade price at eventideaudio.com (I was charged $99 to upgrade from 5)

Finally back in stock (blems only, limited supply - "we are trying to have some done by early January, so there will be more shiny ones eventually"):
Montreal Assembly PURPLL :hyper:
https://mtlasm.com/product/test/

I had been checking their site daily, last night I almost caved and bought another PLL pedal instead lol

Also, deals on their other pedals.

New analog vibrato/chorus: Electro Harmonix Eddy Vibrato/Chorus
Available in the States, and Thomann expects 'em in 11-14 weeks.

My Montreal Assembly PurPLL arrived and has been assigned to synth duty. I had been hoping for a thorough FSU effect and boy, does it deliver
It's one of my favourite pedals - prolly my favourite.

This sounds great:

I was going to sell my Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water, but changed my mind immediately when I put it back into my setup to double check that everything was still working properly.

That's great! Like MBV without the distortion. The Keeley Loomer does something like this, I really want to try that one.
