So apparently to use Amplitube 5 as a full stereo on synths or whatever, the user still has to replicate by hand the second channel ?

https://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/ikforum/vi ... 52#p108547

Like inserting a second amp, copy/paste, insert the stomps, copy/paste each one, fiddle with the settings, now copy/paste on the other channel etc... ridiculous, that's part of what turned me away from amplitube.

Someone not from IK saying it isn't in software that hasn't been released doesn't mean it won't be there. I will bump the request to the devs as this was my reply in that thread:
But there is also a request to lock/link the gear in each side of the chain. I see that as a core part of the request, and have made the devs aware that this is the part that is not currently implemented in AmpliTube 4.

kovacs wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:45 am I'm on the fence with AT5. I have AT4 Max with all the packs except Joe Satriani (which is actually the one I really want, but not going to buy it until I eventually go for AT5).

The problem is... I have Helix Native (and the HX Stomp) and will soon upgrade Komplete to get Guitar Rig 6. So Amplitube 4 is not getting too much use these days. AT5 will have to be massively better than the others for me to spend time with it.

Competition is both making us have too many choices, and also giving us truly excellent gear.
Same- I have Helix (most used) Scuffam and GR6....A lot of choice, but I also have A4MAX (which I was hardly ever using due to the amount of stuff I cant use in it now) so I though the SE Upgrade was worth it just for the resizable GUI, ability to hide stuff I don't own and (maybe ) better sounds...
I think all that is possible in the free CS.
The VIR™ tech missing will affect the better sounds part of that, though, quite a bit. Also, there are other limitations of CS that would affect the experience and sound (no W/D/W but only dual rig, simultaneous gear, etc) in the chart available on the AmpliTube 5 web page.

To add to the previous post, I do believe there's a new build coming soon, and I'll bump regardless.

How bout a button/function that duplicates and turns the whole or part of a mono signal chain path/section into a dual/parallel stereo. Or do something like Overloud where there is just a button on each effect (when possible/applicable) to make that effect be stereo from that point on.

Another feature i was thinking of for more accessible quick sound/tone design features, for individual effects/stomps/modules, you already have the ability to save/load specific module/stomp/rack presets for that unit, but what if it was any way possible to pull up a module’s/stomp/rack’s settings from an existing main preset within just that stomp. Say i like the settings on a delay module from the i.e. “Slash Appetite”, but i want to quickly get or keep those settings and try them on a different preset or my own patch. In the past i would save stomp/rack settings from presets into those individual stomp/rack modules, so i had quick options to try out favorite or different settings etc. Also a parameter and section lock to keep the same certain stomps or amps/cabs in place when going through different presets would be so handy.

Ease of use to create tones and get newbie less experienced guitar players and ampsim software users is paramount to the full user experience to entice them to learn about gear, tone sculpting and signal chain, experiment with sound/tone design and eventually buy more gear/addons. There’s option paralysis and also option anxiety for new and also experienced ampsim software users.

Peter, can you get verification that V5 will not automatically over-write _anything_ related to a V4 install, registry included, unless an installer prompt has been selected, and then the user queried 'Last chance to save/move/reinstall V4, are you sure?'.

And any details like 'is a V4 re-install to a different area needed to protect it from being effected by a V5 installation? Or to keep custom presets from wandering off into the ether etc?

Also, I would value the option to install/reinstall/register products purchased in the timeframe of the previous install manager, using that same 'old' install manager. I realize the new one is all

I reckon two weeks before 31st Dec - which means most will be busy sorting Christmas stuff out and too busy to demo. Genius move. Really, this shouldn't have been announced till everything was finalised.

Post

just a friendly caution to a Peter Pan in this thread, if it's anything right before Christmas, consider you lost two sales, period.

whip your development team a little, tell them to hurry the hell up. give us the bloody date already. this is taking too long.

just don't release the blurry nightmare a-la MixBox, to have ppl wait 1-2 months for a fix.
