What kind of copy protection?

Seems like it's some form of C/R protection. There's no keyfile or serial number, you're prompted to log in to your account when you first launch the plugin. If you choose to log out, from the options menu in the plugin, it asks you to log in again and locks the plugin until you do.

I normally avoid C/R plugins as I don't like having my projects tied to some online activation server and didn't realise Vital used such a scheme. At $20 I bought on a whim, will wait to see what Matt says about it...

You login to download presets within app and make text-to-wavetable requests. I'm requiring sign in for this pre release build to prevent people sharing it before the full release on the 24th and it will be optional after that.

I didn't see anywhere to create bug reports on your site, so I'll put this here.



If you set the LFO grid to 32 steps and then try to draw in half step shapes it will run out of available breakpoints halfway through.

This thing is awesome though.

Are there examples of this doing bread and butter sounds? Every video seems to be dubstep wavetable mangling. Would like to hear how it does more conventional sounds too.

there are a million (give or take) plugins that do bread & butter sounds; am always glad to find ones that excel at being unique... this is one of those.

I can see this being a tough call. On one hand, showing how to make the factory Prophet and OB-Xa patches on every synth is a great tutorial around the synth's architecture for sound designers. The developer probably didn't design the synth for that and it might not yield great results, though. Do they choose to include presets that are only useful for a small set of their users, which takes time and might alienate other users?

It's not like comparing one emulation VS one other emulation.
This synth looks massive (as others), intuitive (as some ). This synth as OSCs, filter, enveloppes. It begs to be compared to the big players, even if it certainly produces it's own signature.
So i understand that one asks how it compares to other synths having OSCs, filter, enveloppes, regarding "comparable" universal sounds. Because this synth could be used as a "default" synth (i mean, the synth you use everyday).
The question is Zvenx's : which precise universally known presets ? Each user has got his own bread and butter presets, if any.

How is it working with FL Studio (on Windows)?
There were some comment earlier that Vital is CPU killer... Is it really heavy for CPU?

Serum can sound like Diva so I’m imagining this one can do such sounds but do you really need all that cholesterol all the time?
