A lot of questions might answered by flipping through the brief manual.
Here's the official link to it, from Roli.

So 80$ and they dropped compatibility for old OSs. I may pass on it for once. Not digging the single price as someone who owns all the expansion stuff all the audio modelling stuff a seaboard and equator 1. Might skip it.

How are you seeing $80?Ah_Dziz wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 5:16 pm So 80$ and they dropped compatibility for old OSs. I may pass on it for once. Not digging the single price as someone who owns all the expansion stuff all the audio modelling stuff a seaboard and equator 1. Might skip it.
It’s $99 here.

I have the latest release version - 2.5.1.2 but afaik it's had this problem forever - its very clear in this video:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/s9xd7xc1hc8ap ... g.mov?dl=0
Here the patch has lfo2 set to modulate cutoff and I have assigned modwheel to cutoff, when I move the modwheel from 0-100% it deletes the assigned lfo2 modulation, then I add it again and again move the mod wheel; same result. Which means if I want to use Cypher 2 with something like Komplete Kontrol I have to put up with patches losing their assigned modulation when I move controls with the hardware. So I really hope Equator 2 doesn't also have this problem, it's a pity there is no demo to test this myself.

Anyone managed to use Paypal in their shop? I see a Paypal icon that seems to indicate it is possible but can't find it as an option for payment.

No. f**k PayPal, they makes so much money off every transaction it should be against the law. They make my bank look like philanthropists.
Desktop shortcuts are the Devil's spawn. I've already manually created a tile for it in my Start menu.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 11:24 amIf you are on Windows, the standalone version can be opened from here too C:\Program Files\ROLI\Equator2. Just create a shortcut on your desktop. No need to use Roli Connect.
You must be a developer's worst nightmare. Good luck, they haven't replied to me in three months over problems trying to buy a Lumi Keys. They've already got your money.I have reported some GUI improvements. Will add this as well once they reply. Indeed useful to have the option to close browser automatically after loading the preset. EDIT: Got their reply and asked them to add this request saying it is from a forum friend.
Then you'll understand that what makes MPE special is that it pours all 16 channels into a single instrument. You can use the "5 Dimensions of Touch" with or without MPE. It's how I use my Seaboard all the time.WasteLand wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 12:14 pmMPE is in a way nothing special, if you look at the specs, it are the controllers and the parameter control that it makes special, and i really am in to MPE.

In my email. 99 would be even more over the top. It costs 99 to update the full arturia instrument suite. I'll be sticking with Pigments unless I see the Roli folks really do something crazy. I may check out the demo if it's even compatible. They will have needed to make some serious changes (especially with their over complicated, but not nearly as flexible routing system) to get me interested. If they added fully polyphonic FX with full modulation I might start getting excited. Aside from their hardware and their buying of a couple nice companies. I felt that equator and their other software were just nice examples of mpe implementation.simmo75 wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 7:11 pmHow are you seeing $80?Ah_Dziz wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 5:16 pm So 80$ and they dropped compatibility for old OSs. Maybe this thing will be so amazing my eyes and face will melt...... I doubt it though. Especially for the price.

Huh, strange, you seem to be the only person with the $80 offer, I wonder how that worked out?Ah_Dziz wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 1:11 amIn my email. 99 would be even more over the top. I own a seaboard, Equator, Strobe 2 and Cypher 2 too.
That’s pissed me off a little tbh, I’ll write to support and ask why I don’t qualify.

Not really, they appreciated my feedback with a prompt reply. Of course, that does not mean they will implement them, but at least there is a hope. And I am good at following up, so will keep it alive as much as I can. Until then I will try to get used to it.BONES wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 12:30 amYou must be a developer's worst nightmare. That's why I already got a confirmation about license transfer is another request. They said they don't have a license transfer option (hence no transfer fee) and I could resell my account easily by sharing account details to someone. Not the ideal thing, but it is officially allowed and good to have as an option and the best part is there will not be the $50 transfer fee as with FXpansion. So for this part at least getting a refund is not on my mind now. They've already got your money.
So far, I am loving it. As you said, it has one of the best presets (especially bread and butter leads, pads and basses) for any synth. But I am covered to some extent as far as money is concerned. Might not be your thing, but hope this general information is helpful.
Regarding the Equator2 sound, IMO it can be compared to ANA2 for one, only a little on the mellower sider.

Like I said, a developer's worst nightmare. Honestly, what do you think you have to contribute after owning something for a day? Surely you'd wait until you'd spent some time with the thing to see if maybe something you thought was poorly implemented was done that way for a reason?LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 4:30 amAnd I am good at following up, so will keep it alive as much as I can.
Really? I don't hear much similarity at all, to be honest. That might be down to the style of presets each of us spends our time with because I doubt I've listened to 10% of ANA's factory patches and I haven't been through any of the new Equator presets yet, either.Regarding the Equator2 sound, IMO it can be compared to ANA2 for one, only a little on the mellower sider.

Anyone with some more details about the sound design of this Synth? Part 1 was not that good in Sound design, I am curious about how it sounds using your own sample. Also the only reviews i find is a walk through the presets.
