Well the Buy button is available at least, but the question is whether the company is still active and will ship you a unit once you've paid. Their website was down for ~2 months and just recently came back online, and no explanation for the outage was given.

I sent them an email a few days ago asking about the status of the synth and website, but no reply so far.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

sorry for the late reply. that they didnt bother explaining why the website was down so long and that they never got back to you on e-mail sounds a bit fishy to me tbh

Also the latest driver version has been in "Beta" since February 2018, contributing to the feeling that the project is completely abandoned.

I'm apparently in the minority, but I really like the concept. I don't have a lot of space for actual hardware synths, and no more audio inputs available either. So being able to add another analog synth by just plugging in a USB stick would be amazing.

Jayyyyyy the site is up again! No answering to the emails though.. Well, the project isn't completely dead which is a good thing I guess.

Must be abandoned then indeed. Pity :(

Why? Roland stopped making TB303s 40 years ago, and they absolutely won't fix one if it breaks, but that doesn't make them worthless in 2020. It is what it is and it works so what's the problem?

Why is it a pity that a manufacturer drops production and support of a cool idea?

For real?

But they haven't. You can still buy it if you want.

Then I misunderstand the post upstream.

That said, I was gonna buy an fx pedal and the manufacturer didn't respond to my question, so I bought from a different company. If the dev of Trueno still wants to sell products and it's still going concern, I hope he responds to folks' inquiries.

Sounds like that pedal manufacturer dodged a bullet. Seriously, why wouldn't you just buy it and find out for yourself? Or ask someone in a shop that sells it?

No, they dodged my cash.

I was asking which postage to choose for shipping as their website was borked. I don't give money to companies and then 'find out for myself' afterwards whether they respond in a timely manner or not to regular and unavoidable questions. And in this case, as I said, even with your level of 'give them your f**king money and shut up' the purchase was literally impossible due to a website f**k-up.

But thanks for playing.

Full disclosure: bones, when I've seen you decide against a product I have had the same thoughts of "well, they dodged a bullet". Can't believe we have such similar though patterns lol

Pal, I never contact developers. (See below.) I give 'em my cash and wear the consequences of a poor buying decision, if that's what it turns out to be.

The thing is, though ,that you ask those questions, which is what makes you a company's worst nightmare. Do you know how many developers I ever contact about anything? I try to make it zero, although at the moment I have been dealing with Presonus for nearly a month on an issue. But when it comes to plugins, I'd be surprised if I've contacted more than one or tow out of dozens, over 20 years. The fact that I might have to contact one is enough to stop me bothering with them in the first place.

It's like this guy in JB Hi-Fi yesterday who was buying a mobile phone and asking the sales guy all kinds of questions about the warranty and whether it would be covered by his home insurance, like the shaggy 19 year-old would have the first f**king clue. I was about to give him a mouthful but they wandered off before I got a chance.

Anyone still using their Trueno? I found mine in a hidden pocket in one of my old laptop bags over the weekend. I'd pretty much forgotten all about it and I doubt I've even got the installer any more, so I probably couldn't use it if I wanted to (the website is gone).
