Yeah.

Anyone else been in that situation? Like, there's (let's say) a DAW on sale, and you think, for some godforsaken reason, "Huh, might just buy that." But you don't need it. And, it turns out, you very nearly bought a thing you don't even like.

Tried the demo, again. Nope. Just doesn't work for me. Dodged a bullet. Yay!

Done that with FL and Reason a few times (after major updates) and never bought either!

Also did it with Rapid (VST) but did end up buying it so....

Live 11 is a step up frim Live 10- give that one a try when the demo is out!

TBH, nope, couldn't happen to me. The one DAW I always have an eye on is Cubase. Simply because it's very similar to the DAW I own, and the workflow I like. Actually, it's the other way around, my current DAW (Studio One) is very much like Cubase, without the bloat, that's why I chose it.

Probably couldn't happen to me anymore that I impulse buy Cubase Artist, because, I really detest the dongle. If they dropped that though, I'd definitely take another look.

Some things are always a bit better in the one or the other DAW, so, I guess it's pretty normal. I wouldn't switch to a DAW I don't like though. Took a look at Live and Bitwig, saw that that kind of workflow don't suit me, and I really can't be arsed to learn it either, so I'll just stick to what I'm rather comfortable with. TBH, Live would be the last DAW I'd switch to, because it's completely alien to me.

Congrats for resisting GAS. It can be tough to resist with so much great software available.

I've been in that particular loop for the last 2 weeks with FL Studio

But I'm trying to stay strong!

happens regularly with Cubase and Omnisphere. I still do not like them and still have not bought them.
