Syncing Logic Audio file with Ipad video???

I've recorded a audio from a mic in Logic while simultaneously recording video of the person speaking on an iPad. I've put clap transients at the beginning and at the end of both. When I import the video (with it's audio) from the iPad into the Logic project and visually line up the starting clap from both the Logic audio and the Ipad video audio and then check the ending clap, they not longer line up. Meaning that the sync is not maintained throughout the clip. I've made sure to keep the video frame rate at 30 because that's what the iPad video is. For shorter lengths this falling out of sync might not be too noticeable but this project is 10 minutes long and the becomes obvious after 4 minutes or so. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong??
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yep, Logic is set to 48k to match the iPad vid.

Ok. If you import the video first and then audio (Logic) in a new empty Logic project? Does it align?
P.S. If you're under pressure then I would simply time stretch audio (Logic).

Yes, I tried that was as well. Same result. I did an additional test creating an audio file using a quantized snare rimshot for 10 minutes. I played the audio back on my laptop and recorded that with the iPad. And dragged both files into a new project and lined up the first transient. After 3 minutes the lag becomes noticeable. I'm wondering if it's because .mov is a compressed format. Is it possiblle to recorded uncompressed video on an iPad?? Thanks for the suggestions.Etienne1973 wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 6:59 pm Ok. Perhaps that's the exact problem. Google: movie .mov out of syncElevateAudio wrote: Sun Nov 15, 2020 9:22 pmI'm wondering if it's because .mov is a compressed format.

It's likely that your iPad movie is VBR (Variable Bit Rate). Seems you need to convert movie from VBR to CBR (Constant Bit Rate).

The compressed format was the problem. Tested with a newer iphone and used hires mode which records in wave and the sync lined up correctly.
