Hi,

I hate my self not following closely with the upgrade pricing model and "Discount" period of the DAWs I own. As BF is around the corner and my budget is bit tight so I think most of the $$ go to the DAW upgrade. Here below is my budget plan for the DAW I owned in terms of upgrade, please correct me if the figure or the $$ is not correct. Thank you.

1) * Cubase 10.5 -> Cubase 11 = $99
2) * Live 10.125 -> Live 11 = $183
3) * Bitwig 3.3b4 -> Bitwig 3.3 = $169 (My upgrade plan expire in early next Jan)

My question is :
1) For Cubase, the price will not be further deducted until summer sales ? If so, I may upgrade say next year.
2) For Live, is it a discounted price ($183) for a certain time period only
3) As I recalled, Bitwig will have something like 20% off in BF or Xmas including the upgrade plan, right?

Thanks!
Cowby

All my Bitwig upgrades have been $129... that is the usual sale price which you should get soon on BF. Also, if you buy the upgrade on sale on say BF, it doesn't start counting the 12 months until you activate it. 3.3 will be officially released before January. So if your current upgrade expires in Jan, but Bitwig doesn't announce 3.4 (or whatever comes next) until March, then no need to activate the new upgrade until then. That assumes you want to try 3.4 beta. Otherwise you could wait until 3.4 is officially released.

Oh $129 is more reasonable and I can buy it this BF and activate later.

1) The next Cubase sale will probably be in the summer. They do summer sales (11.xx) then fall/winter upgrades (11.5).
2) Live doesn't seem to have a pattern. The limited time is supposedly until Live 11 is released. I would email their reps if you want conformation.
3) Bitwig has summer and winter update sales and they are for $129.00 USD

Thanks Worldshaker, Live's new features caught my eyes but it has the highest upgrade price among those 3 and even Studio one 4->5. Oh well.
