How do you check for updates after installing?

Click on the Logo in the upper left corner. You'll find check for updates there.

There is a support email address in the receipt you got when purchasing Vital.theorize wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 9:17 am Does anyone know of an official email for bug reports and such?
I reported an issue a couple of days ago but have not received an answer yet. I imagine Matt is just swamped with support requests right now.

It automatically checks. That button is when you click on is actually a toggle button to turn auto checks on/off but it looks more like an action button like "check now". I'll make it look more like a checkbox in an update.

Once the app is registered, do you need to leave the online connection open in Logic, or only when checking for updates?

Thanks! I'm gonna have fun exploring vocal stuff in Vital... it has the tools to really control the nuanceTannaliini wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 9:49 amWow! I have, and so far have not been able to get Hive to sound (or look on a spectrum analyzer) identical. Very close, but still slightly different. I attribute that mostly to the filter characteristics of Hive, but could also be some other element I’m missing. Of course, Vital was clearly built to mimic Serum so it’s very easy to match everything between the two.

Unless there's something crazy different about using it in Logic, it works fine offline (apart from the TTWT functionality).grdh20 wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:12 pm Once the app is registered, do you need to leave the online connection open in Logic, or only when checking for updates?

this. it works fine in logic, with an internet connection, or no connection (as with most things, you'd need to be connected to update, etc)FrogsInPants wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 5:32 pmUnless there's something crazy different about using it in Logic, it works fine offline (apart from the TTWT functionality).grdh20 wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:12 pm Once the app is registered, do you need to leave the online connection open in Logic, or only when checking for updates?

A few days ago I got the $20 special.
I have not received an email with serial number and download link.

I can download the executable there, no serial needed, after install you can load the VST and log in there.

This was really confusing to me too. I bought it on my iPad while I was watching TV and when I got to my studio computer there wasn’t a clear way to get at it. Once you find that link and log in, it becomes clear and easy. I think in the future a “welcome” email would be a good thing.RPH wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 6:01 pmWhat happens when you log in here?: https://account.vital.audio/loginKalamata Kid wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 5:53 pm A few days ago I got the $20 special.

I have a feature request: a response curve editor for the pressure modulation. I’m using a Rise 49, and it’s nice to be able to build a curve that acts like a threshold control so I’m not constantly spitting out pressure into a parameter that’s getting controlled by an envelope as well. For instance, when I want the attack of a sound to have a filter sweep, but later in the note I want to use pressure to mess with the cutoff.
