yeah, because there really aren't enough wavetables already, every extra one helps.

Of course it's f**king sarcasm. The very concept of needing to use Pigments' wavetables in something else is ridiculous.

Well, sometimes it isn’t so obvious with you. Thanks for clarifying.BONES wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 2:10 am Of course it's f**king sarcasm. The very concept of needing to use Pigments' wavetables in something else is ridiculous.

I didn't ask you WHY Igro needs MORE wavetables. Right? Go away and take some pills.BONES wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:23 am yeah, because there really aren't enough wavetables already, every extra one helps.

Yeah, this is one pf the biggest issues, I have with Pigments. Parsed the manual, but found nothing, only drift knob does a small influence on phase as I understood. How can product designers of such a sophisticated synth forget, to equip it with dedicated phase controlling?Greenstorm33 wrote: Mon Nov 16, 2020 10:43 pm Is there really no way to set the starting phase of the Wavetable oscs when they're in Key retrigger mode?

Sure but it as implied by what you did say so you are just going to have to wear the stupidity of it.Igro wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 6:40 amI didn't ask you WHY Igro needs MORE wavetables. Right? Go away and take some pills.
I imagine it's because the actual musicians that Arturia deal with don't give a flying frig about arcane shit like that.SamDi wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 7:05 amHow can product designers of such a sophisticated synth forget, to equip it with dedicated phase controlling?

I'd like to access the wavetables as I'd like to try to recreate some patches with other synths.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

There is a workaround if you 'really' want to export a particular wavetable from Pigments or any other Synth for that matter.chagzuki wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 11:36 am I'd like to access the wavetables as I'd like to try to recreate some patches with other synths.
You can record the output of low note scanning across the said wavetable and then import that audio into another synth such as Serum, Phase Plant etc. That would theoretically create a wavetable which should sound the same.
But honestly, there are simply so many good wavetables freely available online, I dont really see see this as a major limitation. However, I would definitely want to see a WT editor in Pigments 2 in the near future.

You don't know that. Unless you think you are an actual musician (your ubiquitous activity and complaints about every little thing prove that you are not).BONES wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 11:29 am I imagine it's because the actual musicians that Arturia deal with don't give a flying frig about arcane shit like that.

I currently have fairly limited experience with custom wavetables, but wouldn't it be possible to take the WAV files that Pigments uses?Igro wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 8:52 am As I understand, Pigment's wavatables are not "exportible", as they are in its own format? I wish i could use them in another synth too.
I mean, I tried a few times on some of the synths I have, which also offer wavetable synthesis, and they usually allowed WAV import for that.
But I don't know if you mean something different.

Seems like Pigment's wavetables are not wav files, but an entirely different format.Niowiad wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 1:52 pmI currently have fairly limited experience with custom wavetables, but wouldn't it be possible to take the WAV files that Pigments uses?Igro wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 8:52 am As I understand, Pigment's wavatables are not "exportible", as they are in its own format? If you're OK with the WAV files, they're all on your hard drive when you install Pigments.Igro wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 2:55 pmSeems like Pigment's wavetables are not wav files, but an entirely different format.Niowiad wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 1:52 pmI currently have fairly limited experience with custom wavetables, but wouldn't it be possible to take the WAV files that Pigments uses?Igro wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 8:52 am As I understand, Pigment's wavatables are not "exportible", as they are in its own format? They're here on Windows: C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Samples\Pigments\Factory
On Mac it must be some different directory, but they should be there.
