Funnily enough, I've just posted about my newly updated and minimal site as well.
So I hope you don't mind me commenting on yours...
First off, having music play on the first screen is a really bad plan because if people have got their own music playing at the time, as I just did, it clashes really badly. That's a no-no.
I kind of like the design, but I'm really not sure about the pink, sorry. Just my taste though, you know?
I found a track called Micro4 ~ Paradroid, but it's 74.7mb huge!
I doubt many people will download a file that size and people on dial-up have got no chance at all.
It looks like it's maybe a full length album - maybe you should chop it into numbered tracks? You know - bite-sized chunks? Just a suggestion...
I'm a bit unsure about the 'hidden meat' pages - obscure symbols that you're not sure what they are til you click them.
Inside some of these I kept finding one or two second loops, some of which are identicle within their respective boxes... is there a reason for that? You also have to find which ones contain data...
... and for some of the navigation it's essential to have the i.d. tabs visible - I have that in IE, but not in Mozilla. Maybe I'm missing a plug-in for that, I'm not sure.
I can appreciate the work you've put into it and it's mostly a smart design - did you use Flash to get the rotating records and stuff?
It runs smoothly and everything that should work does work...
I just have a few reservations.
Is this possibly for an art project or something like that?
If so, it's great.
If not, it's possibly a bit impracticle at the moment?
Just my tuppenceworth.
