yep, resize is essential for any plugin nowadays I guess.
but anyway I can't use it because of the bright skin burning my sensitive eyes 8)

Oh I see. Maybe it should be a good practice for GUI designer to provide a dark skin in case he/she chooses a light skin.

Altgough I set synths on the default light skin, I choose a dark skin for the DAW amd main programs that I spend most of my time with, like Windows OS, Chrome, email client ... etc. As I feel better with the dark than the always bright white.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

It is resizable isn't it?

Post

Yes, dark skin and resizable UI are almost always necessary and should ideally be available at the time of releasing a new plugin these days.

No, Super 8 is not.

No, Super 8 is not.
Right you are. I didn't need to resize but I thought that was one of the features of the new interface. But yeah I see now there is no option for that. I thought that was one of the main reasons they broke it out to a new interface!

Post

I thought that also. But no, it is just a VST3 format with a browser similar to Massive X. Anyway, I don't see any reason why not in the near future, because I believe it is small on 4k (on my 2k 32" it is ok though). Massive X with a big interface looks really nice, so I hope NI will do the same to Super 8.

Hi. I used Windows 10. Anyone here with GUI problems with new Super 8? See my screen. It don´t expand. I already tried as a Plug in and inside KK. The same. I tried to uninstall (with Windows and NI Uninstall RegTool_64bit) and install again and nothing. Any help here?

That looks strange. Maybe a forced rescan of plugin database from Komplete Kontrol preferences?

Try this before forced rescan:
1. Uninstall Super 8. Delete all the registry entries using the tool and also remove any left over folders related to NKS (usually here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\NI Resources).
2. Open standalone KK and let it scan the things for a bit. Ensure Super 8 is not there.
3. Install Super 8.
4. Open standalone KK and let it scan for a bit. Now check if it is fine.

Also, while it does not seem to be necessary with the latest KK version, it would still be better to open standalone KK first after installing anything and NI products/updates in particular and then open in DAW.

Well, looking at those pictures it seems like Super 8 is internally capable of being scalable/resizable... Why not just implement a view size menu like on Massive X?
I've bought it yesterday (there is no demo) just assuming that the GUI would be scalable (like MX or GR6). I'm kinda disappointed.

Massive X is vector-based, Super 8 is still raster graphics, rendered in I think just two sizes (100% and 200%).

200% would be perfectly fine to me :)

Hi. My Super 8 2nd gen is not achieving 200% in my screen. It goes until 175%. I contact NI and they are studying it.

Did you tried 200% on Super 8?
Thank you
