Good question. I have always found it strange that Tone2 browser allows tagging but you can't actually use the tags in the search (or can it and I have not known this for years?)

Markus Krause wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 6:06 pm It only takes around 10 button presses (10 seconds) in Warlock to create a really great patch in Warlock. Guaranteed
sure, but how does it know what sound you want?
We all know that no hardware can read your thougths.
But this synth is a serious source for inspiration. You press the random button for a few times. Then you will quickly get a sound that inspires you to create a new track.
I have put huge effort into this feature and it definitely works extremely well

why not make tutorial videos showing ppl how the synth works to encourage them to get stuck in and make their own patches?
as long as it is optional you shouldnt care.

Markus Krause wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:06 am Good news for Mac users:
There will definitely be a Mac version.
I was able to compile Warlock on the Mac and the VST3 plugin already runs on various hosts.
I think you need to recompile it for ARM now to stay MAC-compatible... :D
Warlock is running natively on M1 Silicon and x64 Intel on the Mac now.
PC will be: x64 VST2.4, x64 VST 3.7 standalone

Further features added:
A realtime display for the current waveform.
A realtime display for the filter-frequency response

Exactly and some times you just want a bunch of of nice source material to do further, more hands on work with. If it's just background/supporting sounds, why spend a tonne of time make them from scratch, if you can get good results via randomisation. You can reform such ideas back together to make something musical/interesting.

Also there are times when you really aren't feeling it but you want to keep your momentum going and or get that spark back and generative tools/tricks can really help here.
Always Read the Manual!
