Nice transient plugin. Maschine has a similar one (Transient Master), but I can't use it in a plugin chainer. Now I can use Crack instead.

But for some reason it won't show on my Windows 7 64 bit music PC. It does on my Windows 10 laptop. Is it Windows 10 only? Or do you need to install Visual-C-redistributable-runtime or something like that?

Edit: I see I'm not the only one.

I currently don't believe there is actually an issue tied to windows 7 - I think there is an unintentional hardware requirement which is likely not to be present on older machines and hence is most likely to turn up on windows 7. I think I've located the reason for it and removed that requirement this morning and I'm just waiting for confirmation that it runs on a machine that it didn't previously. Once I know I'll update on this thread.

We don't officially support windows 7 simply because we don't have enough testers on that OS, but on my virtual machine it works without issue.

Indeed. I'd like a tad more flexibility in the shape of transients, but it's extremely musical.

I'm happy to update people here that testing confirms that the issue with older machines (those without AVX) is resolved in the builds made today, and we've updated our website versions for both Crack and Impact to v1.0.1 with this fix. This change didn't involve any code changes - just compiler flags. If anyone needs the fixes then logging into your account will give you access to the updated files.

Thanks to those who reported this - it seems our beta testers must be on more recent hardware - we are glad to have caught it relatively early!

Also - as stated earlier - there is no known issue with windows 7 - this issue was to do with CPU capabilities rather than OS, and hence is more likely to occur on machines with older versions of windows.

I understand the Ableton issue, but it does seem a bit of a raw deal for those of us who purchased the Max for Live device and now they have basically updated and built upon that according to the FAQ, but those of us who purchased it get not even an upgrade path/price and essentially have to re-purchase it.

That's the way it goes with software sometimes. Sometimes it works out great with free updates and products and sometimes not. Not much you can do other than decide if you want it or not.

I have a question because I hesitate to buy Impact, I tried the demo and I think it's great. But I'm a little afraid.
I had bought Diffuse a long time ago and although I appreciate the plugin, I was disappointed by the lack of follow-up of your plugins in general (probably due to the fact that you had work elsewhere).

This time, do you plan to be more present and follow your plugins ?
