I voted wusik because they're the only company on the list I've actually bought anything from.

What is this, :?

Where is Sonic Foundry/Sony, by this time I still think that Sound Forge is the best so far audio editor, and also Acid Pro contains the best time stretch beatmap for loops or audio files,

Hmmmmm this is a hard one.

Jo from Muzys is not only a developer to me, he is like an email buddy. He has vision, manners and talent. I suppose I can't give him number 1 due to the small fact that whatever he's doing is under shrouds of secrecy and his flagship product isn't being distributed anymore.

I've always thought jorgen was one of the best developers around long before I actually owned one of his products.

And GlennO is truly amazing! Pretty hard to sum up what I think about the developer of an instrument like Crystal.

I've been developing a real appreciation for WilliamK lately within the Wusik forum. He pays attention and tries to do the right thing by everyone all the time.

And this person isn't a software developer as such but I have to mention him anyway. Squids - Squids - Squids. If I had the money I would just give it over to him and put him in charge of stocking my sampleset content for years to come. Dave - just pray I win a very big lottery some time.

Jon from ConcreteFX seems pretty bloody fantastic too even if I have quite a few difficulties with the interfaces of his instruments.

In case I'd vote at all (which I won't) it'd probably be Steinberg or Emagic.
I'd probably vote for one of them in the worst developer thread as well.

Why?

Because Steinberg has made all this more or less possible (VST, ASIO) - sure, someone else would've defenitely thought about it as well, but then, it was them to actually do it.
And Emagic? Well - they made the sequencer a LOT of host developers could (and perhaps should) steal from when it comes to ergonomics and efficiency (actually, Steinberg finally did, "relative snapping" being a godsend in SX 3!).
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.
