To be totally honest, that's my general opinion about their plugins. You know, not bad, but, they don't knock me out of my shoes either. LuSH-101 is quite nice, and, the formant filter is the best i ever heard, but, took a bit too much CPU for what it does here.

Fix Phaser is on sale for 45 € from Softube at the moment. Tempting, but, I remember how it slaughtered my CPU the last time I tried it...
Any news on that front, or is it still the same? It sounds gorgeous, but, I just can't justify that it needs as much CPU as a very demanding synth plugin.

This did not change. It's similar to Hofa and Stunning Phaser @4x os iIrc...

Well, yes kind of - I basically agree, but I sometimes use it on lead guitar (or so) that is very exposed... (i. e. In an arrangement that's sparingly instrumentated)

And again it's on sale (45 €, and 40.50 € with the additional 10% voucher). And I still remember that is sounded so great, and smashed my CPU so hard.
Good thing we have threads like these on KVR, so that we remember our sins for all times.

It's stated on the black week page of their website. The voucher code is BLACKWEEKEXTRA.
It's valid for most plugins, but, there are a few exceptions, I think the plugins which were on sale in the week before this sale.

It's been on perma-sale for ≈ 4 months now. 35 EUR via Softube, potentially less via PluginBoutique. Definitely worth it at that price IMO (if you're in need of a phaser).

Does it sound like you're in a drain pipe with water in your ears? That's how most VST phasers sound to me
Recommend Audiority's Dr Phase if you want the syrupy MXR Phase 90 pedal vibe.

Better. It sounds like you're in a drain pipe with cream in your ears.MogwaiBoy wrote: Sun Feb 27, 2022 8:12 pm Does it sound like you're in a drain pipe with water in your ears?
Can you name some hardware phasers which sound better? I'm interested. I always had a hard time finding something decent in software, when it comes to phasers. There are many, many bad ones.

Nembrini Phazevibe is pretty creamy, it's been my goto since BigRock has been abandoned and is randomly dangerous to ears and speakers. Also the Instant Phaser. I think i will buy this one though.

The only downside is the insane CPU footprint. Apart from that, no complaints.
I'll check out the Nembrini as well. A bit above my budget for effect plugins though.

Creamy? OK, if it does that thick, syrupy, 70's psychedelic thing, then I need to check it out.chk071 wrote: Sun Feb 27, 2022 8:14 pmBetter. The closest I've found to a real Phase 90 is the Audiority Dr Phase - it's not quite there but close enough I guess.
I find most VST phasers, particularly stock plugins, are generally just a result of the micro-delay function, and sound like you have plastic pipes strapped to your ears.
