drums & not good sound

Hello. Ive got problem with drums in my tracks. Ive got samples called dance mega drums 2 and every drum loop i made sounds horrible. I dont know how to explain it but it sound very BOX'y. Not natural. What can i do to remove thiat sound?? What kind of samples could you recommend me??? Im tryin to make trance music.

Could you post an example of a horrible loop you've made?

That way we could point out what you probably are doing wrong. The obvious guesses are wrong or no usage of compressor and eq.

I tried this, with quite nice results imo:
I did some eq:ing by cutting a bit around the 300hz mark and boosting a bit around 130hz or something (not sure, using nyquisteq) and then I did quite heavy compression using endorphin. The track atleast got much "tighter" and with more energy in the whole mix. You can download these plugins for free, check out the "quick links" here at kvr.

The clap sounds quite a bit out-dated though imo, but the main issue here seems to be compression (atleast that's how I see it).
