I was wondering if this would happen. With the pre-release version rather than having the content included the installer downloaded it which early on wasn't a problem.RugerioDelStereo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 6:01 pm Hmm, no wavetables and no presets here too. There is however a "Download Content" button showing up when you click the "init" line in an oscillator...
But now with everyone and his brother trying to download the files it may be more than the bandwidth can handle.
I imagine it's done this way so there can be one installer then it initiates the content download based on what version you have.

On Discord they talk about it (the download trouble) being some kind of new bug on mac...
Not a problem on the PC so not a server overload issue.
Will probably be solved soon enough, it's day one after all
Internet connection is needed because of a.) checking for updates and downloading the content and b.) TTWT. If one has the content downloaded and doesn't need TTWT, no connection is needed. At least that is how I understood Matt.
And he's using some kind of cloud server for delivery and a google service for TTWT...
Cheers,
Tom

No release party, no cocktails, no prosecco, no bufett, only @Hink offering a few brownies
At least I already have Vital thanks to the In-the-Mix offer...

Downloading....
It's in VST3 folder 'Matt Tytel' with its little brother Helm.
Sign in and it downloads the content.
This is very very nice.
Congrats Matt

Downloaded, Installed , then got a nice black window with an error message:
Vital requires OpenGL version 1.4
Supported version: 1.3
Is there a workaround, or I should forget this synth?
In my environment (win10 64bit, Reaper) other synths like Pigments, Avenger, Phase Plant ... etc are running without problems...

well...
go to vital's form
https://forum.vital.audio/
tons of reports, that there are no presets, no wavetables
matt sayz: fix for mac by tomorrow...
download from within the preset browser does not work
neither in AU nor in the standalone version
not for presets nor for wavetables
i was able to load teksonic's prresets and add his wavetable folder
his presets do load, but it is not represented in the preset-bar's name, which costantly keeps at "Init Preset"
but in fact his presets do load fine
adding a super big wavetable folder to the list of vital's wavetable via "Add Folder"
results in an error:
so...well...let's wait until tomorrow
