Vital requires OpenGL version 1.4
Supported version: 1.3

Is there a workaround, or I should forget this synth?
In my environment (win10 64bit, Reaper) other synths like Pigments, Avenger, Phase Plant ... etc are running without problems...
Wow, OpenGL 1.4 is like more than 15 years old :o pretty much every graphics card has been supporting that for ages now, I guess you could try updating your drivers.

Looking forward to finally play around with this synth, huge thanks to Matt!

That's me out then. I can't upgrade Blender because of the OpenGL version, and now this! I waited all this time for nothing. :( This is the sort of information we need early on, not when we want to be shouting and cheering and cracking open the champagne.

go to vital's form
https://forum.vital.audio/

tons of reports, that there are no presets, no wavetables
matt sayz: fix for mac by tomorrow...

download from within the preset browser does not work
neither in AU nor in the standalone version

not for presets nor for wavetables

i was able to load teksonic's prresets and add his wavetable folder
his presets do load, but it is not represented in the preset-bar's name, which costantly keeps at "Init Preset"
but in fact his presets do load fine

adding a super big wavetable folder to the list of vital's wavetable via "Add Folder"
results in an error:
Folder has too many files to add to browser. Max: 2000
adding the smaller seperate folder seem to work fine

so...well...let's wait until tomorrow :-)
i added a "Vital" folder to Home>Library>Audio>Presets (i had to authorize adding a folder there), and on next run, all the presets installed to that folder (in the original $20 version, and now, in the pro version)

That's weird the preset names show fine here. They were created on a Windows computer so maybe if you're on Mac that's causing the issue ? :?

If you're luck enough to be able to afford the latest cutting-edge computer, fine, but not everybody can. Lucky lucky you! Updating drivers is impossible on my machine - there are no drivers for it that support the latest OpenGL. I tried it in order to try and use the latest Blender.

Found this on the Vital forum so it looks like some form of skinning might be planned for the future:

Just tried it again and TTWT is still working here. Does the free version not support TTWT ?

you added that folder to your home library? (not the main library). try rebooting after. then try installing presets again. anyway, worked here (in logic)...

1) Does thing synth has "chord memory"?
2) Do i really need to change the cutoff for example via the slider? No knob?
3) FM? Ringmod? Sync?

2. If you must have a knob assign one of the Macro Knobs to the Cutoff. Other than that moving the slider is no different than moving a knob....click and drag.

3. Yes all of them.
