No offense, just do what you want, but it's amazing how people are always hypnotized by plugins GUI first instead of their sound. Some could talk for days about resizing, skins, colours, fonts, screen resolution, and totally forget about sound.

Of course the sound is most important but the GUI is what you interact with to make that sound. If you like the GUI it's much more pleasant to work with than if you hate the GUI.DJErmac wrote: Wed Nov 25, 2020 3:26 am No offense, just do what you want, but it's amazing how people are always hypnotized by plugins GUI first instead of their sound. I don't mind Vital's GUI but I would change some of the colors around if possible to make it more pleasant for me to look at.......

Are you referring to the vc_redist.x64.exe file in the Stub sub folder? This is the only support code I see in the Windows installation, and it's not an OpenGL updater, it's a Visual C++ Redistribution pack. When I launched it, it said I had to remove a previous version so I stopped there. Maybe this does have OpenGL related updates, yet I doubt it. If this is what you installed, please let us know. Thanks!bftucker wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:02 pmwhen I ran the exe on Win 10, there was a separate folder which included the necessary Open GL installer. Might want to check there.Erisian wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 7:25 pmIf you're luck enough to be able to afford the latest cutting-edge computer, fine, but not everybody can. Lucky lucky you! Updating drivers is impossible on my machine - there are no drivers for it that support the latest OpenGL. I tried it in order to try and use the latest Blender.tomx2188 wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 7:21 pmWow, OpenGL 1.4 is like more than 15 years olddune_rave wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 6:40 pm Downloaded, Installed , then got a nice black window with an error message:
Vital requires OpenGL version 1.4
Supported version: 1.3
Is there a workaround, or I should forget this synth?
In my environment (win10 64bit, Reaper) other synths like Pigments, Avenger, Phase Plant ... etc are running without problems...pretty much every graphics card has been supporting that for ages now, I guess you could try updating your drivers.
Looking forward to finally play around with this synth, huge thanks to Matt!

I had to try... I uninstalled the existing (newer version Visual C++ pack), then installed the version that came with Vital and it did no good. Not surprised, yet still bummed.PierreG wrote: Wed Nov 25, 2020 4:20 amAre you referring to the vc_redist.x64.exe file in the Stub sub folder? I did try the vital synth and o think it's is very overhyper and use waaaay much CPU and also sound quality is average at the best I mean those filters????? They are bad lol! Maybe have you tried the u&he synth or even sonic academy Ana synth with the aliasing sound better than this. In my humble opinion that is too say!!!

I mean no disrespectful attitude to developer you did a great job it's very pretty cool idea for synth it is just not my cuppa the tea lol
But also maybe little weird how similar is to the Serum
But also cool for shepard tonnes idea, wow
GUI is also need work too if I am saying honestly!
And sorry must add also too that maybe I could be a kind of biased because I am after the hard ware sound synth style and this does not remake that sound at all at least not very good job at it. But maybe for people who do not care much about that thing then and just want to make the tear out style sounds on the youtube tutorials, then you will maybe be more ok with this but even still I would say go for the Serum for that because then you get better filter and still bad filters!!!

That was on my 2560x1080 screen. It actually looks slightly more clear looking at the screenshot now on my Iphone. Most of the text is barely legible on screen.

Sorry mate, Serum has worst lp/hp filters among many synths.
