Hi, sorry if this has been covered but do the presets come with the installer or are they online? I'm offline and can't find any. Thanks-

They're online, get downloaded first time you invoke it.Jonathan Shepherd wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 7:18 pm Hi, sorry if this has been covered but do the presets come with the installer or are they online? I'm offline and can't find any. Thanks-

you have to download them from within vitalJonathan Shepherd wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 7:18 pm Hi, sorry if this has been covered but do the presets come with the installer or are they online? I'm offline and can't find any. Thanks-
so:
you lauch vital (standalone or plugin)
you'll be prompted for you username/passwd from vital
then it *should* download presets and wavetables
for quite a lot it didn't work (mac version) until a new version (v1.0.3) was available
so, maybe you need to download a new version

check out 'the internet' (where you're posting). you can connect to it, and download presets, just as you downloaded vital itself (really; if you can download the synth, can't you work out to download the presets? you could download them somewhere, then copy that file to your offline computer...)???Jonathan Shepherd wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 8:07 pm Ah ok thanks guys. Does Vital work on Windows 7 (sorry if this has been answered before)?

Made some sounds and a little track.
Well, it is actually possible to make a decent bass drum with filter resonance in Vital.
All playing is Vital, no external fx.

I’m really impressed with the filters, they sound great and the different modes offer so much variety. Comb filters are among the best I’ve used. Then again I’ve never really been able spot the magic ”warmth” in analog modelled filters some people obsess over.

I like the good/better/best pricing model, which has a usable free tier rather than a crippled demo.

Funny, to me Vital sounds 'warm' in a digital way. It just does'nt sound sterile as some other digital doodads (to my ears at any rate).
I'll probably bite the bullet, and pick it up at some point.
