Please make a metallic Dubstep growl in Diva with same precision as vital and I'll agree with you.

could you upload an example preset from Vital?

someone can then have a go

hoping to check vital out this weekend (pure WT synths are not really my bag, but not much else going on at the moment)

Not the best example but here you go
https://twitter.com/infektdubstep/statu ... 24483?s=19

I should mention that there's also an Echobode layer on the bass sound, but other than some additional EQ, compression and reverb it's all vital
now how about just vital, upload the preset

Post

If Wendy Carlos and Vangelis don't publicly rave about it, I'm not buying it...

Well, as you can see, it's not my sound, however I am working on making a growls pack of prolly 20 varients.

Who is asking you to buy?

who?
Andrew Huang, Mr Bill, Dirtyphonics, Virtual Riot, Must Die, Pegboard Nerds and more
Andrew Huang - 2.11M subs on YouTube, has worked partnerships with Ableton, Arturia, NI and other companies
Mr Bill - Very well know youtuber, has collabed with big names such as Deadmau5
Dirtyphonics - One of the biggest DnB producers, Released under UKF, Monstercat and Disciple
Virtual Riot - Probably the biggest Dubstep producer right now, has multiple songs with more than 1 Million views on YouTube
Must Die - Famous Dubstep Producer, released under UKF, OWSLA
Pegboard Nerds - One of the oldest known names in Dubstep, released under UKF, Monstercat, has multiple hits with millions of views, worked with Knife Party, Pendulum, Skrillex, Exicision and more.
Additionally,
Kill the noise - Another big Dubstep producer, has worked with Skrillex, Knife Party and more. Has multiple hits with more than a million views.

And judging by your reaction, you probably don't know any of them, in which case, you probably will be better of not using vital as the most exciting sounds vital can make doesn't align with your music taste.

I was gently ribbing AnX's 'old man' shrug i.e. actually in favour of your previous reply. Isn't it obviously ironic?

(I have seen the full earnestness of your subsequent breakdown of who the artists are, so I'd imagine you don't do irony).

It's genuinely difficult to understand irony in this thread. So sorry if you were being ironic.

Mate, I referenced the oldest synth players I could think of.

No need to apologise.

i dont really gauge popularity or talent by YouTube hits.... but, yes, never heard of them

my taste is very varied, and I never put a synth into a genre specific pigeon hole.... so it may be of interest to me, I'll find out soon enough

Post

Never heard of them too, but I'm in niche electronic music. I think Vital will be used a lot there.

I'd say this is the biggest release since serum for bass music genres such as Dubstep, drum and bass, trap (edm, not hip hop), electro house, bass house, jungle, neuro funk etc.

It'll also be good for genres such as modern house, techno, psy trance, future bass etc.

i tried the free version now.
it's a very responsive synth. Can you import your own stuff into "sample" osc?

Yes

tbh, the example you gave didn't sound very bassy to me, i guess for ds it's more about the growl than the freq....

early ds bass sounds i heard were very basic with an lfo in the filter, but still very bassy sounding, not so "rough"

also, i didnt even know ds was still a thing....

100%, it's a psytrance producer's wet dream; it excels at unashamedly gritty, digital, metallic, glassy tones, whichare very popular at the moment plus it has lots modulation possibilities that are well implemented for complex, twisted trippy sounds and it's free/well priced, so even the crustiest of hippies can afford it :D
Always Read the Manual!
