You may well be right, but keep in mind their prices fluctuate all the time.
E.g. stuff that will take weeks to arrive is usually priced lower, price goes up again as stock renewal date draws nearer.

Also, I got a -10% voucher by mail, a few weeks ago (I'm in Belgium).
(Our failing mail service keeps me from ordering, even if someday I would find something actually cheapest at Bax)

Their prices right now (especially with the 7.5% extra BF discount) aren't bad, it's just there's no way they've charged those original prices quoted for more than 5 minutes because no-one would pay them.

Are you safe?

Just snagged the last Black Portal from Mystic Circuits, pretty much on a whim. Even though that means purple panels are coming next and purple is my favorite color. (Although... black is my other favorite color.)

It helps that Hainbach and Andrew Huang both covered it and got some nifty glitchy static percussion from it, as well as oscillator sync sounds with one oscillator... the concept is kind of like one of my older VST experiments, only with analog circuitry instead of really inefficient code :hihi:

Ah yes you are absolutely right, when they quote a discounted price, it's a RRP, not the actual previously charged one. Not just on BF, either.

all in all about the size of a morrisons bag. :) all bought over the course of the year.

yup, you buy so many cables.
yet always seem to end up one short :o

that always happens with midi cables as well! :D I realised at some point this year that if I hook up this patchbay and the 16 track mixer into it it's gonna cost me about 100 quid in cables if I want decent quality balanced ones. so this cable collection is a work in progress! and, well you can never have too many cables eh? :)

I purchased a NI Maschine+, and Modal Cobalt8M today.

Shiek927 wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 2:21 am I bought a slew of 90's/early 2k virtual analog synths: Nord Lead 2, Novation Supernova, WaldorfQ, Roland JD990 and Roland V-Synth. I'm a 90's enthusiast and wanted to make some 1990's dance tracks very authentically. All of them have been sold to different owners by now, but my experience showed me that the JD990 was really all that I needed. That one was the best-sounding synth by far and, alongside contemporary soft-synths like Avenger and Diva, is really all you would 'need' if you wanted to make great 90's style music. Everything else honestly felt underwhelming when they were actually thrown into the mix.

Waiting for the JD990 to appear in the Roland Cloud :)
I absolutely agree with this! JD 990 is an amazing synth.
Same here. Ive sold most of my hardware but still cant let the JD990 go. I even bought Omnisphere but still feel the JD has a sound i need

Added to my battery capable rig (MPC Live) this year with a Modal Skulpt and Craft Synth 2.0. Extremely capable mini synths.

Will be selling off the JDXi. Awesome idea machine (redundant with the MPC though) and too much hassle to edit deeply.

Bought an MSI X570 Tomahawk, 64 gig of Corsair RGB Pro 3200mhz ram and a Ryzen 3950x to upgrade my ageing 4770k rig

Just added a Warm Audio WA273-EQ & an original Korg MS20! :)

Turns out my Harley Benton Spaceship 50C's PSU holders fit round the upper arms of the Innox laptop stand I bought to house stuff on, keeping it locked in place.

My Meris Hydra arrived today, I attached velcro to it so that it now sits up on the board, tilted for my convenience in a formerly dead spot of my studio space (thereby adding to the immersion while playing Eve Online in my cockpit-like interior - sometimes muscle memory makes me reach for my Big Muff, instead of my laser guns :o )

One slightly frustrating point: the pedal has separate L/R outs, and I can only afford a single input on my interface.
