How do you guys deal with Logic's latency during mixing?

I've started working on a project with an artist that uses Logic exclusively. I'm a PT, S1 guy.
Stemming all the stuff would take loads of time, what with alternative takes and some idiosyncrasies in the session, so I'm considering to finish the job in Logic.
Now, I've mixed on it in the past, but I've always gotten into trouble because I tend to use plugins that introduce considerable latency (paging Acustica Audio!) and that seems to throw Logic's automations quite a bit.
Did a bit of research and found out that Logic compensates for latency by calculating the delay and it's very precise at that BUT it doesn't shift the automation lanes accordingly. So you end up with eq sweeps that happen before they should, for example and also sidechaining the bass to the kick ends up in a timing mismatch.
Now. Thousands of succesful people mix in Logic every day so I'd like to know, if you are one of them, if this is an issue for you too and how do you work around it.
Thanks
