This is e.g. the board view of all tasks and subprojects (ClickUp)
ClickUp looks great (and has a proper dark mode!) - but back to the same problem with Trello, where you need to link/embed with another app (Nimus, Evernote, etc.) to get proper notes on a card.
Yes.
I find that Trello is quite limited in text formatting anyway, many apps can do that better. With Clickup I could also write a newsletter etc. directly in the editor. The functionality is as good or even better than the editor in Evernote.

The advantage of Evernote, Nimbus, OneNote etc. is rather the very good search also within pictures and PDFs by OCR. You can have 1000 notes and find with one click the newsletter or shopping list from 2 years ago ;) This does not work in any task or project manager.
Another advantage is certainly when you work together with others. If you have a band and several people are working on the lyrics, I would rather do it in Evernote or Google Doc and then share it. Especially in Google Docs you can write annotations and so on... that's pretty cool.

Sounds like Clikup might just work for me - I don't need the search so much; would just like to be able to notate with related tasks..

TY for the headsup. I hadn't heard of Clickup before - seems once a year I look for something new and just see Asana and the usual suspects, and then some startup all about "assign any team member a task and integrate it with your calendar and see when they completed..." - it's like all personal project manager content is now an MMO and there's no single-player game left for the rest of us!

The market is quite changing, there are a lot of new things lately. Notion and Coda are also two pretty cool things: Wiki with database functions (+ formulas).
Some use it for project management or as a personal wiki for planning the next holiday etc. It's also great for music stuff, especially as there are different views like table, kanban board etc. this closes the gap between project manager, wiki, note application and database ;)
