Half sidetrack question on standalone(s, also Synth Master One has the same problem): when PC keyboard is used as input, the instruments plays no matter if it has focus or not (just press keys in *any* window and the instrument plays).

Is it expected? The only way so far to avoid it is changing the instrument input to someone else.
In my opinion the keyboard should only work while the standalone GUI has focus (or, at least, the current behavior should be optional...)

That still happens in 2.9.9 Standalone as well. I will try to fix it by moving the keyboard processing to the vst plugin window now that we have a piano keyboard in XT skins. Right now the Win32 app is processing the messages and I guess that is causing this bug.

Awesome job, Bülent, especially on the animated graphics, incredibly helpful

SM is still my #1 workhorse synth even though I own most of the other bad boys as well but I just love the sound of the Synthmaster(s), can't wait to get SM3.

Edit: missed my soundbanks after the installation of 2.9.9 but found the option to restore them in the 'shop' mode of the synth. Right clicking on any bank name on the list opens a little window with the option to download them all. Got all up and running now.

Bugs (so far) - Rev. 10105 (Win8.1, reaper)

Some patches don't work (no sound):
#1479 - MO FM Leviathan MK
#1480 - MO FM Nostromo MK
#1497 - OR And the Lord Said
... most of the Organs ... etc

... with the sT-Dark skin activated I can't use the waveform cursors in the wave display + the font for the name of the waveform is too dark and almost impossible to read.

... If you are looking for specific types of patches via 'Type' (e.g. pad) a lot of them don't show up in the resulting list on the right side of the browser view.


Anyway, I'm enjoying the upgrade a great deal, been designing sounds all day and will keep this list updated.

You should not overuse red accent in a UI like this. It's really bad design. Red is really prominent in people's vision. This is why Red is used on Stop Signs and for Error Messages, etc.

Why would you do this? It looks incredibly distracting.

The Dark Theme looks really nice, but I can't with the red accents.

I can highly recommend using the GUI maker to change those colours.
All the skins for Synthmaster seem to tend to some rather odd colour combinations, like the ugly green in the white skin that clashes pretty badly with the red/orange...

- changing from one sampled waveform to the next whilst playing midi notes from the sequencer or controller repeatedly crashes reaper
- the cursor in the waveform window (next waveform) doesn't work most of the time, sometimes it just works fine though
- you can't jump from patch 1725 PD Hi-Phuture (i) to 1726 with the arrow on top of the browser, right next to the name window

Will look into those. Have been working on some sample import issues.

Are you using rev 10105 ? I've tested changing waveforms/samples while playing a note and didn't get a crash so far.

Greetings Bullent. I would like to know, why we do not have the STEP option anymore, at LFO and Sequencers ? It was pretty handy. Is it gone forever, or will it be available again?

Also, at Layer window, near Routing adn ARP/SEQ, used to be the FX button also, for the FX of the layer... that button is gone also... for me that button had its use .

Also, at Modulations, when you choose a modulator to affect PHASE or FREQuency... The Modulator affects these two in a KEYTRACKING way if I can say so.. For example, the modalator rate is slower at lower keys, but increase at higher keys... is there any way to switch off that kind of tracking, in such a way that modulators behaves uniform on the entire keyboard? I tried to bring down the Key Tracking of the modualtor, but that one has no effect.

My suggestion, much smaller preset/browser/shop icons. Right where the Shop icon is on the new screen is where I'd expect to see the master volume control.
