I'm planning on trying to make some amps for this and if anyone here is a guitarist, I'd appreciate some feedback on them. I'll also try to make some overdrive pedals and maybe some general stuff for drums, vocals etc. I know the basics of how to get certain sounds, but a 2nd, 3rd, 67th set of ears would be good, just to make sure I'm not too far off and they are sounding good to most people.

If I can come up with something good I'll make videos explaining how to do it, so people can start making their own custom stuff.

the amp does it by itself, without any modulations. if MTurboAmp can't do it on its own, then it's not properly emulating an amp, is it?
Yes, very true.

Do you know how to mimick high gain amps ?Like do you think it's possible to hear a certain model and the recreate it with with MTurboamp and the current modules we have? Or with a certain distortion pedal? The potential here could be massive.

You know what would be awesome?

Having a feature where you could import or analyze audio and have it recreate the sound. Sort of like Kemper but for audio.

I believe I can model high gain amp(s) and pedals. I'll post an amp I've been working on soon and once that is sounding good I'll work on some new ones. I'm going to start with a low gain amp, move the medium gain and lastly a high gain amp. The high gain amps are more complex, so I'd like to build on the lower gain amps and use what I learn to make better high gain amps. After that I'll do some pedals, which should be easier. Assuming I can get this to sound good I do some videos showing how you can mod that stuff I made or make your own from scratch.

I can't promise I can make exact copies of hardware amps, but I think it will be possible to get in the ballpark. Using MFreeformEqualizer you can make your own IR and copy the tone of an amp if you really want the exact tone. Hopefully we can get lots of people making amps and working together, so we can get enough amps to please everyone.

I mean MXXX should be able to at some point , and MSF can for the most part? I mean you just use the sampler.... What we need is that smart machine learning that lets you mimick a vocal tone....

Exactly. All those dynamic things are supposed to be intrinsic to the model, so if you have to add envelope followers and such, it's obviously not a very good model

Let's just say i am not holding my breath that this is going to be anything special if MTurboComp and EQ are anything to go by :hihi:

MTurbReverb is an incredible tool though

+1 That pretty much was my concern too when Meldaproduction posted the poll. So far this hasn't been very convincing...

As the developer said:
My pleasure, but it's far from finished yet ;)
It will evolve over time. Some will like it, some will hate it, as always with melda.
I really hope it will be it's own thing and not try to mimic existing hardware.

Pretty annoying that's all I hear is "don't want it to do what's been done" Obviously alot of us want Meldas version of modern popular tools.....

Generally speaking (because I just read discussions on facebook about the turbo series and how users have problems with it): if a developer writes product descriptions with buzzwords like "simulating", "emulating", "the last plugin x" or puts presets in that clearly reference existing products, then you of course have to face the comparison, may it be in terms of sound, look & feel, workflow.

I'm sure there is place for both approches.

Well, to me it's a killer soft amp already... and I'm not a huge fan of mturbocomp either.
