Looks like they are finally in sync with Cubase. What will this new version bring us?

Dolby Atmos integration: since top-end cpus are now manycore - thus theoretically voiding the need for external 'DSP farmcards' - it's just possible that Nuendo may *start* to eat into PT's kingly stature (i say start because of the range and scope of PT and PT systems - they're f*cking everywhere)

The biggest advantage of PT is Avid's ecosystem. If you already use Avid elsewhere, why not PT too.goldenanalog wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:31 am it's just possible that Nuendo may *start* to eat into PT's kingly stature (i say start because of the range and scope of PT and PT systems - they're f*cking everywhere)

Hmmm: the way that it’s timed, the Nuendo upgrade/preorder? may be discounted (all of their stuff is currently 50% off, including upgrades)

It says coming in December on the video above, I can't see a date for it and would be surprised if they released it during black Friday.goldenanalog wrote: Mon Nov 23, 2020 5:53 pm Hmmm: the way that it’s timed, the Nuendo upgrade/preorder? may be discounted (all of their stuff is currently 50% off, including upgrades)

Additionally, not EVERYTHING is discounted at Steinberg. At least in the US, it is only Absolute Collection, Dorico, SpectraLayers, Iconica, Nuendo Live, and Cubasis.
Also, it is just a live stream tomorrow. As simmo75 mentioned, I would expect it early-mid December.

Did anyone hear of a release date? I saw December in their trailer, but no specific date.
Last year, they gave us the free update to coincide with Cubase 10.5 (they have done that in the past when catching up with Cubase features) it seems about a month or so after the Cubase update. Obviously it will not be free, but I do wonder what the update will cost as well.

They only said it will be 20% off the regular price at launch. And in one of the forums somebody from Steinberg hinted at $199 as the regular upgrade price. I am sincerely hoping that this will indeed end up being 160-ish, but at the moment all this info is really nothing more than hearsay.

The official release date was mentioned at the end of their streaming event:
https://new.steinberg.net/de/nuendo/showcase-11/
It's December 9th 2020.
