Can't you just do this:

That is precisely the sort of awful noise that I keep hearing from Vital, when is anybody going to show any decent sounds that it can do? Like actually usable sounds, that sound like they would belong in a piece of normal (i.e. not industrial, etc.) music? The Nerdy Music Guy wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 5:31 amAm I missing something here?pdxindy wrote: Wed Dec 02, 2020 11:46 pmYeah... no feedback in Vital... but so much else it hardly matters. Perhaps you could create a non-awful, usable, decent, normal patch and share it here?BenfordLaw wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:05 pm That is precisely the sort of awful noise that I keep hearing from Vital, when is anybody going to show any decent sounds that it can do? I'm sure people will be happy to provide equally encouraging feedback...

+1, it's free, you have literally zero excuses not to acquire it and try to make something serviceable yourself.neverbeeninariot wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:16 pmPerhaps you could create a non-awful, usable, decent, normal patch and share it here?BenfordLaw wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:05 pm That is precisely the sort of awful noise that I keep hearing from Vital, when is anybody going to show any decent sounds that it can do? Quick question: Is there a place to track Vital versions and release notes.

On the Discord, for version numbers anyway, can't see any release notes with the bot push updates (or any hyperlinks).MRT wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:31 pm Quick question: Is there a place to track Vital versions and release notes.

You have three posts total in the past several weeks since you joined, all of which are bad-rapping Vital {a FREE synth} and demanding that someone "impress" you enough to make demoing said FREE synth worthwhile for you. Seriously?BenfordLaw wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:05 pm That is precisely the sort of awful noise that I keep hearing from Vital, when is anybody going to show any decent sounds that it can do? have you downloaded the free version, and checked it out yourself? & the 'pro' version is full of lush pads, keyboards, etc... along with some animated, unusual sounds.BenfordLaw wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:05 pm That is precisely the sort of awful noise that I keep hearing from Vital, when is anybody going to show any decent sounds that it can do? if you want plain vanilla, there are so many synth plugins out there that do that. if you want to get more adventurous, vital is worth checking out.

If you go to your account you can see all the previous releases by clicking on 'All downloads'. There are no release notes alongside, though in the Discord you can see small release notes (for win and mac builds anyway)

It seems you have created this account simply to complain about a product and demand others show you things about it that you find impressive.BenfordLaw wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 12:05 pm That is precisely the sort of awful noise that I keep hearing from Vital, when is anybody going to show any decent sounds that it can do? Turns out you could just download the product for free and use your time and energy more wisely.
I for one enjoy the demos by the nerdy music guy and others.
Those abstract textures/soundscapes/whatever you call them might not be for everyone and won't fit every style of music, but they do show some great capabilities of the synth.

These are the two sounds I posted... neither are EDM sounds, but they are musical and not FX sounds.

Here are some more musical presets. Also not exactly for EDM, but with a little tweaking, they should be usable

This sound really great. Are you sharing the preset? If not, could you give me some hints on how to create a similar sound? I would really appreciate it
