Sort of 'repeating' myself in that I already have an OWL module and an OWL pedal, but I decided to get a Befaco Lich; not sure if I'll flog the OWL module but the Befaco basically has a more flexible IO design (including MIDI USB host socket) in a considerably narrower module.

Also decided to replace my 1st gen A-135-1 with an A-135-2, which is 14 HP(!) narrower, will mix CV as well as audio, and has 4 independent VCA outputs instead of just a single mix output..!

(Plus a Doepfer A-145-4 Quad LFO, because 4 handy LFOs in 4HP...)

2 guitars (classical and acoustic bass), 2 launchpads (X and mini), 1 roli block, akai ewi, 1 mic and 1 audio interface, lots of cables, chinese clone headphones, good touch monitor to be used as an isomorphic keyboard controller, 2 jbl speakers, new ssd for Kontakt stuff, nektar panorama p1.
I am still waiting for functional midi 2.0 synth/keyboard to hit the market and then I am probably set for the near future.
I didn't buy anything new this black friday, hope midi 2.0 stuff and behringer clones of big synths come before the end of the world next year... :(

Ohnoes!
Did the audio card die, too? If so, not related I hope (what voltage is the UK on these days? Imperial GMT daylight savings voltage?)

Yeah I think I will try someone other than Focusrite next time, they revamp their interfaces
pretty quickly, rendering the old ones obsolete. I have 2 or 3 of them due to that, though
I only buy them because that's what's available locally.

it's mix control, not a compatible programme.
asio for all will keep it working to a point, but you lose the mixer and internal loops.

I actually don't miss "mix-control", thought it was more of a pita than it was worth (personally), on my gen-1 6i6. Though not as much of one as the look and feel of Win-10's file explorer, which I loath with a passion.
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

my main problems are, i only have 2 channels now and i can't mute them outside of the host, so im hearing the dry signal constant as well as through bidule.

not that im attached to mix control so much, just, it works! as i expect :hihi:

and yes, win 10 feels weird.
im sure ill adjust. eventually.

I wouldn't wanna go back from Win 10, ever. I'm sure you'll get adjusted. ;)

On topic: I'm, wondering if I should get the Behringer Model D. It somewhat itches, at the price it's available at the moment. I'm just not sure if it's the right thing for me... having to warm the thing up for 15 minutes, the cabling, and the thought of having to adjust the thing at some point when it goes out of tune... no patch memory, just one instance, bouncing everything... IDK, IDK.

Guess I'll stick to Monark for now. Seems like the more sober thing to do.
