That cab section is sounding really good. Hoping that it drops soon so that I can start incorporating it into recording. I thought Amplitube 4 was a fantastic upgrade and this seems to be even better.

Will you still be able to purchase AmpliTube as a full Collection in the Custom Shop with version 5, like you can do with various AmpliTube/Deluxe/MAX bundles for version 4?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Wed Dec 02, 2020 6:12 pm You can get the amps in the new Custom Shop that will be available with AmpliTube 5 but the pricing for the versions that include the gear are a much better deal.

With speakers in a vertical array, can the mics be placed with bothPeter - IK Multimedia wrote: Wed Dec 02, 2020 6:12 pm ... you can hear the new cabinet section / VIR™ in action:
both or all four speakers active and feeding the new engine as the desired placement location is being sought? Based on the video, with the floor being
part of the considerations, I'd think that some guitar styles would benefit
from mic(s) placement between two or four speakers, and a foot or two
away. This could add a lot of tone options. So the option to have all speakers
on and feeding data, would be nice, and with a variety of floor treatments to work with. Stack of old phonebooks anyone?
Also, can the amps be freely angled, rotated on an axis, or tilted back
or towards the floor, to suit misc room positioning? Might this apply to the Sunset Studio rooms?
Cheers

Unfortunately, the video only showcased the on-axis mic position. So, no comparison to the 45° off-axis position.
I also was wondering what is to become of the dual sm57s (on-axis + 45° off-axis) mic option. Am I correct in assuming that configuration on a single speaker is no longer possible in AmpliTube 5?
Also, does the room selection affect the floor reflections when miking the lower speaker? I would think the reflections coming off a tiled bathroom floor or cement garage would sound different than those from a carpeted Studio B or raised wooden venue stage, no?

Hey! What about incorporating some of the rooms from Sunset Studio into AmpliTube 5 as room options?
I'd even buy that separately in the Custom Shop.

Great idea for the existing rooms to be sold in the CS

So, now that even additional hardware has been announced, there is still one essential piece of information missing:
A release date!
For both...
So when is the release? I'd really take up AT5CS for a spin against Line6 Helix Native 3.0

Ditto- I have been very impressed with Line6 Helix Native 3.0 (great free gear update, I suspect 'some companies' would have been selling the new polyphonic fx separately as an add on packCompyfox wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 4:43 pm So when is the release? Yes, Line6 has the benchmark for this - free user pre-set exchange and the ability for users to sell pre-sets and IRs - over 600 free pre-sets for Helix Native and of course all pre-sets work for everyone as there is no 'gear shop', you buy Helix you get everything inc. updates so all users (hardware and software) have the same tools.tappert wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 5:11 pm A preset exchange system would be really great too but I suppose we will have to wait AT6 for that

Even Postivie grid have had preset exchange for free for years. It isn't hard to do.

The team informs me that (barring unforeseen major crises) December 15th is the AmpliTube 5 release date.Compyfox wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 4:43 pm So, now that even additional hardware has been announced, there is still one essential piece of information missing:
