Support told me it is just automatically registered. However, the install is failing. I will be sending in ticket number 3 to support soon. Also, I don't know about everyone else, but for me the Roli site was super slow. It could be my end.p1afff wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 3:09 pm ROLI Connect says I'm supposed to have received a serial number in a ROLI email. Never got one. So I can't register my Equator 2. Anyone found a solution ?
I had a look at Spam folder and on ROLO web site.
Roli: Equator 2 is here !

"Could you please try closing Equator 2, then logging out of ROLI Connect and back in again, then attempt to launch Equator 2 again and let me know if the issue persists? Please note that simply closing and reopening ROLI Connect or restarting your machine won't have the same effect, you need to actually log out and back in.
This is can sometimes be necessary to update your software entitlements."

Thanks for the suggestion. In my case it is the installer that fails. I can't get the install to complete! It begins then stops and there is an "installation failed" message that appears in Roli Connect.S4410 wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 8:14 pmI had a somehow similar problem and got this answer from support, you can try it:Gribs wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 7:54 pmSupport told me it is just automatically registered. Oh for heaven's sake this worked for me. I signed out, exited, restarted it and logged in again and it worked. I also ran Roli Connect as administrator in case there was a permission issue.S4410 wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 8:14 pmI had a somehow similar problem and got this answer from support, you can try it:Gribs wrote: Thu Dec 03, 2020 7:54 pmSupport told me it is just automatically registered. Email today from Roli says "discounts disappear at midnight", and I had read the Equator2 upgrade sale would end December 3rd; but I noticed Plugin Boutique says "ROLI Equator2 & Upgrade Introductory Sale 18 Nov - January 3, 2021". Is that an error?
https://www.pluginboutique.com/deals/show?sale_id=7366
If that's an error, is the 18 Nov - January 3, 2021 date for the Cypher2 Expansions Bundle sale on Plugin Boutique also an error?

Plugin Boutique are a reseller and free to set their own pricing. The discount on roli.com officially ended yesterday - if you're quick you might catch it.
This account is dormant, I am no longer employed by FXpansion / ROLI.

That is just compete rubbish. There is ZERO stepping in Equator's filter and no harshness whatsoever, beyond what resonance is there to do. If you doubt me, here is a comparison with several other softsynths -Echoes in the Attic wrote: Fri Nov 27, 2020 11:01 amEquator is one example (if you put the res to or very near max). Audible stepping and digital harshness.

The instruments included are, in no particular order - Equator 2, Vital, bx_oberhausen, Korg MS20, Hive and RePro-1 - all playing C2 with a single sawtooth osc, 12dB LP filter with cutoff at 0, Env mod and Resonance at max. Now, you tell me which one is Equator 2. If it suffers so badly from stepping and digital harshness, you should have no trouble picking it.
You can say what you like, it doesn't make it true. It does make it look like you have no idea what you're talking about, though.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 12:47 amI'm saying the there are artifacts, so the quality isn't up to par with many other synths (I can't think of another synth with such audible artifacts at high resonance).

6.5GB of content is "not much", seriously?whannel wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 7:36 amAsking again now that a few more users have bought it. Still not seeing a lot of content, had hoped the developers might have shared more by now?

Turns out the worst and most obvious stepping happens when adjusting the filter on the GUI. It is better using a modifier in my DAW with the device control. You must be using a controller or something that allows much smoother adjustments than on the GUI. Anyways, there are still artifacts between about 13k and 15k at full resonance even when adjusting as smooth and as slowly as it can be adjusted outside the GUI (I'm talking about manual adjustments, not envelopes or modulation). But like I've already said, it's not a big deal. I really like Equator and the filter usually does the job. We don't often need it at full resonance. But if you can't hear this you probably have some hearing loss in the upper frequencies.BONES wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 12:14 amThat is just compete rubbish.
