Have you either tried with a safe restart and see if the issue still happens?

I would select these two and see if happens still.

ok, so it is not your preference file that is possibly corrupted or third party plug ins.. (usually the two most likely candidates).
What is your setup? Computer and Audio card please.

You are most welcome.
So clearly it is not a memory or cpu issue.
Is your wifi on? If it is on, can you try it with it off and see if that makes a difference?
And the only other thing I can think of is if you can also disconnect any non essential usb devices and see if that makes a difference.

The WiFi off doesn’t make a difference, it seems very specific to Cubase 11.zvenx wrote: Fri Dec 04, 2020 2:18 am You are most welcome.

Yikes now that is odd, very odd and I would normally for sure say that is a cubase preference issue, but you started in safe mode thus eliminating that..
I have Cubase on Mojave and been running it for quite awhile and haven't seen or heard of that issue alas. And I have Nuendo on PC and I often exchange parts of the preferences with them and never seen this...
As a last effort, copy your Cubase 11 Preference folder (yes the whole folder) to your desktop.... Remove the contents of the Cubase folder (not the desktop copy) and copy (not move cause Nuendo still needs it) the contents of the Nuendo folder (should be in the same general ~Library/Preferences folder) into the now Empty Cubase 11 Preference Folder and try again please.
And this will sound like a silly question but what mouse you have? ( my microsoft intellimouse has some idiosyncracies with C11, but not any previous Cubase before it (and I am assuming you have a Nuendo similar to one of the previous Cubase's, probably 10.3)

For one I am quite interested in this update, but really doesn't feel like a new version, more like a 0.5 update. but then 10.5 + 0.5 = 11
But I will await their sales before I upgrade. Maybe then it won't be so buggy.

My observations: 11 is performing pretty well and except for a couple of issues I know are pretty particular to things going on in my system that are far from universal, stable. I have a larger load project from 10.5 that definitely performs better in 10.5 than 11; in 11 I have to up my buffers to 192 (8.5ms roundtrip). It's a massive load tho. NB: my first night with it I gave up it was so bad. I have no idea at all why this difference. I think the 11 project performs better in 11.
My second issue (the first has to do with my audio interface and VE Pro experiencing excessive wakeup calls, whatever tf that is) is this: it's related to VEP 7's automation map, its communication of the full name of the parameter to Cubase. If a .cpr is saved with a conflicting set of parameters vs VE Pro (the first case of this is down to BFD3's Host Automation, which is something I have had to work with fxpansion and VSL coders behind over a lot of emails; a non-standard mixer in that was previously impossible to even set Host Automation for (standalone included), now it can be done but it's still imperfect; so I have to watch it, it opens with a couple of things that are incorrect, half or more of the time. So I came to believe it was BFD3 per se, but no, if there are enough automap conflicts period the .cpr can crash on launch. I know this from rebuilding projects, disconnected with VEP.
^ of course no one is interested in this much detail but it's there to indicate what a potential minefield some of this is, not necessarily a simple matter of a plugin or a corruption in a project or file in itself.
As to deleting preferences, in my stability issues it has meant basically nothing. Note well, if you have 10.5 installed, 11 will grab 10.5 preferences tout suite so there is no forcing it to rebuild prefs unless you delete [or displace] both.
