Probably the most important latency related trick for Nvidia cards is to switch them to low latency mode (and not the ultra one):
Manage 3D Settings/Global Settings/Low Latency Mode -> On.

NVidia low latency mode reduced LatencyMon DPC numbers for nvidia driver from around 600 to around 200 for me, and there was no 3D or video on the screen.
I run GT 1030, because all I need is silent card for dedicated audio workstation to play digital piano VI.
It might be CPU intensive as you say, but I have good CPU.

UPDATE from my post.
For AMD GPU 5500/5600/5700 series, do not disable.
At least not with the current drivers…
The other stuff is ok to disable.

MSI(Message Signaled-Based Interrupts) utility V3
https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/windo ... st-5826955
Here MSI for the Realtek audio and NVIDIA GPU was not enabled, the Realtek LAN
was with set to HIGH priority.
Here it is not a server, it is now set to LOW
I suspect for your DAW machines you may want to enable MSI for the GPU and
set it to LOW priority.

FIX for USB 2.0 hitching/stuttering on Gigabyte/Aorus B550/X570 motherboards
Disable global C-states in the CPU tweaker menu.
Looks like some new BIOS update fix this.
Here with ASUS B550/MSI B450 no problems...

Today by accident I found 10 scheduled tasks made by NVIDIA. Some of them were set to run 1 hour after the previous one. F*** telemetry etc. The last time I checked this on my old PC (a year ago if not more), I didn't have that much a mess. Maybe because for the first time I tried the studio version of drivers.
Now I need to check what from NVIDIA I'll need for the game engine - with the hope that I need to install driver only.
No wonder that NVIDIA is causing issues. Not only Win10 is full of real-time telemetry, now NVIDIA and probably every driver installed for any device have it too.

The AMD driver is a lot easier to deal with the bloat...

Not sure but I believe the GeForce Experience option in the Driver installer adds most of that bloatware. Either way that Nirsoft app Pictus links to is a great tool to have and it made me remember this app https://github.com/NateShoffner/Disable ... -Telemetry perhaps more convinient for some...

Thanks. Useful tool. I disabled telemetry manually already but it's nice to have tool like this to save time.Kr3eM wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 10:32 pmNot sure but I believe the GeForce Experience option in the Driver installer adds most of that bloatware. I thought that studio version of driver will be free of this crap but I think that it's opposite.
It's so annoying that now for 1 install we have to do 10 uninstalls/disable/delete procedures to clean added bloatware.

I removed the recommendation to disable HPET.
Modern hardware and mainly updated Windows seems not to need to disable HPET.
You may want to test with your stuff and this
https://www.overclockers.at/articles/ti ... dows-timer
To enable back:
- Open cmd as Administrator and type the following commands:
bcdedit /set useplatformclock true
bcdedit /set disabledynamictick no
-REBOOT

Thank you for the great tweaks and informations.
I understand a AMD Radeon GPU is the better choice for an Low DPC Latency Setup instead of an GT / GTX GPU
What do you think is the best combo:
AMD 3700X + RX 550
AMD 5900X + RX 550
AMD APU (Renoir / Cezanne)
Thank you

You are welcome, I do not know anything about AMD Renoir/Cezanne.
I had a Ryzen 3600 and now changed to 5600X + Asus TUF B550.
The 5000 series are EXCELLENT!
For my stuff(Photoshop) the upgrade was worth, the 5000 series are very snappy!
I haven't tested much with sound yet
I'm not a musician...
