There are some decent presets that demo their features so don't forget to try them. Can't recall if they get downloaded automatically or you need to seek out the presets and 'buy them' (for free).RobGee wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 6:31 pm Got a great deal on this yesterday along with the PSP Ultimate Bundle, being able to combine and modulate all these effects along with vsts such as Valhalla, Lexicon, Cytomic, SoundToys etc is pretty damn cool!

Maybe I'll buy the Unfiltered Audio Distortion Bundle.

I'm trying it now. I really liked Indent as a saturator and Dent Crusher for crunching sounds (more than PSP Lo-fi). Fusion I didn't understand what it does.

fusion, that is thé thing; it is mixer, an algorithmic mixer, that they copied from their LION soft synth.future-bit wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 8:04 pm Maybe I'll buy the Unfiltered Audio Distortion Bundle.

modes are algorythms; sum, sums. dif. etc. terrain is one of the beaties, i always forget what the precise definition is. there is no manual. you can download the manual of LION and you see what the algorythms do.
so it is mixer that mixes two sources, but has mix modes. simply said..
i bought it for fusion (and i have unfiltered audio plugins, all of them, the vst versions..), didn't try indent, or dent crusher yet. their vst counterparts; yes.

I'm going to get the remaining Benard bundle (vol 3) when some money clears in a few days. Should be fun to have the full contingent, although I admit to have barely scratched the surface with the other 2 volumes.

how are they, i only have bought one benard module... you admit you barely scratched, but still; what does it gives you?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 8:55 pm I'm going to get the remaining Benard bundle (vol 3) when some money clears in a few days. i strangely didn't buy anything from cherry audio, this sale. mainly because the last 2 sales, i bought a lot (all MRB, all weevil, 2 year bundle (and i already had most.. o that was the second sale, and of course introductory prices for modules/bundles that caught me, psp ultimate at the first of the last 2 sales, , m*4 stuff, great!, now even cheaper... o well, don't know all by heart..), the vult bundles. 400+ modules is quite nice... so... i can go on for years now.
o yes i bought the beta oscillator when it came out, so in way, that was the sale....
but i always was curious about the benard stuff, i have also random task (is that the name), octagon, the great andrew macaulay ultimate bundle, or how is it called, and the great vari-step sequencer, i have not all m*4 stuff, but a lot. don't forget.. insomniac music..
o well. this is not an answer, nor a real question. but there was a question!
benard stuff, do you like it?

yes, I kind of get lost in the randomness when trying to build generative stuff with it and most of the time don't end up with anything cohesive, but I enjoy the process!
There are a few interesting modules in there I like especially for building ambient/droney generative patches - Random Values is great for creating a whole heap of randomness to spark off, the VCA Matrix Mixer is very good for reassigning values in a pattern based way, the Multi-Delay is just a very decent multi-tap delay and similarly the Matrix Sequencer good for driving walking sequences, Stochastic Trigger Sequencer for pseudo random drum triggering, the Trigger Counter great for looping an indexer until a value is reached then kicking off an event. There are also a load of glide modules that are good for creating transitions between notes - vol 3 has the 'Glacial Glides' which I look forward to using as they can transition over very long intervals, ideal for evolving ambient themes. Random Walks is a great 'wandering' random generator where the next value is closely related to the prior value. Similarly Bernoulli Gate can generate interlinked probabilities simultaneously and good for situations where Event A happens or Event B e.g. you could set A to happen more than B and A could trigger a closed hi-hat and B an open one etc.
That's just scratching the surface, many things to play with in there.

^^^ Yes, it is clearly a 'tutorial' (and Q&A) session thing.

Let's see, could be related to the new version.MarkBarton wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 2:59 pm I'm sure the new version will be out soon (I hope). I will bump Cherry Dan to see when that might be. So sorry for the inconvenience which I'm sure will be very short lived.

True, though they tend to hype that, specifically. Perhaps they are changing tactics.crystalmsc wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 9:57 amLet's see, could be related to the new version.MarkBarton wrote: Wed Nov 18, 2020 2:59 pm I'm sure the new version will be out soon (I hope). Something that's worth a look IMO is a module named JK's Random Sampler which is on sale for $5 at the moment
It's really useful for quickly setting up round robins e.g. if you have a set of snare variations in a folder on your computer just highlight them and drag the files in (definitely supports WAV, not sure on other formats) and the default behaviour for the module is each time it is triggered it will randomly choose one of the files it is listing. Has a number of randomness modes and you can also force it to play a particular one of its samples by using the "Sample" CV input.
Even if you just load one file you can still get variations by sticking an LFO or Sample and Hold against one of the CV input parameters to affect the sample start, decay etc.
Really nice little module.

I bought the Unfiltered Audio Distortion Bundle. I lacked good saturation. The stock Distortion module distorts the sound very much. Unfiltered Audio gives a soft and pleasant saturation.
Although I bought the Voxengo Premium Membership this Black Friday and got some great saturation plugins, the Unfiltered Audio Distortion Bundle is a great buy.
