I bet it can create that sound with the proper sample. It can do quite a bit more than just factory presets.

^ Arturia have a Fairlight emulation so he could have that. But Fairlight is all over that album so almost certainly was the source of that sound, bearing in mind it could record original sounds too being, like, a sampler...

Yeah, Mike had access to tons of instruments, so may very well have sampled his own bells, glocks whatever it is. Some gilde/porta. I don't think it's in the factory presets. I have the Arturia and will check.

i'll try to add some portamento to some bell like sound in the arturia fasirlight emulation and see if i can recreate his crazy bell sound !!!

He also has some effects on it...

Its not an unusual sound, it could be made with many synths (and plugins).
