Brainworx acquiring PPG Synths!

About GUI's, fun thing, that's why i long time had been not tried demo (at that time was released only Wavegen and WaveMap) nor buy, despite fan of Waldorf stuff. It all seemed to me like some smartphone applications, as something not serious.
At that time, i think i already had all Waldorf related plugins, except vocoder.
And so, at one fine moment, some users advised me to try this, I tried and realized that I was seriously mistaken.
Moreover, I liked everything - including the UI.
It’s hard to explain, but I think it’s aestethically very suitable for this workflow. In any other synth, I would not like it, but here, I think this is a special case.
I will not say about saving patches though - maybe yes, it would be nice to simplify. But otherwise (visually, sound), these are just quite unique gems. Wolfgang has damn great taste imo.

Not really interested at all in those, I let go of all the external stuff around 2002 or so and not wanting anything back especially anything with touchscreensCinebient wrote: Wed Mar 18, 2020 3:40 pmNo need for a PC for thatlegendCNCD wrote: Wed Mar 18, 2020 2:56 pmHopefully not, I find touch screen controls unusable and to hook idevice to my pc is a € chore.
But if it rocks your boat.. go ahead, I'm just so over with hooking anything into my pc these days![]()

Assume that the „normal“ price will be at least as high as before, but you could grab it way cheaper on a sale... Especially with a voucher.

If I had to guess it’d be $99 with a heavy hitter intro price (down from $179). After about a year you’ll be able to get it for about $50 with their random vouchers they send out. In about 2-3 years it’ll be $29 every couple of months.

Maybe if it were released two years ago, as it looks like now, i think PA is heading down the permasale path of Wavesmasterhiggins wrote: Sun Apr 05, 2020 2:55 pm If I had to guess it’d be $99 with a heavy hitter intro price (down from $179). Cool, does the Brainworx acquisition mean we'll see the first $1,000 list price for a VSTi synth (that you'll get for $29.99 with a coupon code) ?

So.....it's been nearly 3 years and...nothing. Does anyone else think they took a look at the code and said...yeah, no.....?
It's a shame. I love WaveMapper and WaveGenerator.

I don't know why Palm sold it to them when U-he or Tone2 could have bought the rights. The legacy versions should have become free too!masterhiggins wrote: Fri Jan 19, 2024 4:21 am So.....it's been nearly 3 years and...nothing. Yeah, Wavemapper is such a unique synth. I gave up on them... but of course would welcome a surprise announcement!

Brainworx is now a sub-brand of Native Instruments who have such an outstanding reputation for upgrading their old synths that we can expect new versions of Wolfgang's synths in just a few epochs.

It may have something to do with the amount of money offered.Korg Supporter wrote: Fri Jan 19, 2024 4:50 amI don't know why Palm sold it to them when U-he or Tone2 could have bought the rights.masterhiggins wrote: Fri Jan 19, 2024 4:21 am So.....it's been nearly 3 years and...nothing.
