Anyone able to use CARLA or Kushview ELEMENTS to do DAW VST Remoting with Cubase or other DAWs?

What I want to do is probably best done with Vienna Ensemble Pro, but that's expensive.
Orchestral DAW users would typically have a DAW Rig (running Cubase) and a slave rig (with a lot of ram and a big ssd) that has all their Kontakt instruments.
THey would then have their project templates set up to remotely connect out (via Vienna Ensemble Pro) to the VSTs which would use the IO bandwidth (sample read) and compute bandwidth of the slave rig (a PC server), and then, probably send the resulting audio digitally back to the host DAW.
This would all be done in realtime, and would result in you being able to have, say 200 kontakt instruments active, at once, in say, 80 or so different Kontakt instances.
Anyways, it seems CARLA (from KXStudio) and ELEMENT can do some of this:
1. VST hosting side
2. Network connection (OSC, whatever that is).
Can they do this job? Hosting and realtime networked audio and midi in two directions?
If not is there anything else that can?
I've been testing both Carla and Element out and while they do a lot, and both have a VST part and a standalone vst-host part, the setup or configuration appears "not to be well documented", and for how useful it would be if these would do it, it's telling perhaps that there are no tutorials on youtube that cover this case, that I could find.

OSC is not meant to send audio, its a bit like an unlimited Midi protocol... I tried NetVST which can send audio, but only for a single instance of a plugin. And its a nightmare to setup. But its open source... Maybe useful to feed a pc plugin into a Mac DAW for testing purposes...
And there is Dante, which can send lots of audio channels across computers, but then you would need two setups for two hosts. In different contexts its very useful and also affordable...

I was searching for alternatives to Vienna earlier this week and did not find any mention of audiogridder anywhere, thanks for the tip. Will test it later.auron wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 8:14 am Check out free audiogridder , it has a new beta version:
