Hello all,

FL 20 user here. I want to know how I can create blank banks for the synths I am using. Sometimes I launch a synth and it's got a bank loaded with patches but no init patches. I would love to be able to create and use blank banks to design and play around with sounds. Can you help me? :help:

My vst wrapper for Jeskola Buzz has a preset manager where you can easily create blank/init banks via drag&drop.

https://www.xlutop.com/buzz/

Small instructions:

-open vst editor
-open the menu presets>favourites
-open organize... dialog
-drag your init patch from the bank to the right listview(favourites)
-rightclick right listview, select export bank... to create a blank fxb

You made a vst wrapper for Buzz ! I discovered Buzz around 1999 and it was so awesome...
Thank you for mentionning it and congratulations for your wrapper :tu: ! I'll definitively try it.

Don't know if this will work the same for you but when I create banks for Analogy64, I first create and save lots of patches, then I go through the patches in the default bank one at a time, loading my own over the top of them, then I save it as my own bank. If you can create one init patch, you could load it over all the factory presets then save the blank bank for future use.

I will have to try it but I guess there is a need for backing up the factory bank beforehand to still have those patches.

That's always a wise idea just in case, although factory banks are usually (though not always) embedded in the synth and reload by default.
