i'm on V6. to get V8 upgrade the price is $349. that's about twice what i'd be willing to pay. shrug. not like i'm short on synth plug ins. hard pass for me.

Jup-8 V4 is a totally new instrument.
New audio engine, new code, new interface, new feature set, new presets.
That's why presets are not compatible between the V3 and V4, as these are two different instruments.

Yes, the new sound engine seems to be the highlight. Also, the updated GUI looks much better.abducted wrote: Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:27 pm what's new in the jup-8 V4? Updated sound engine ? That's what would be the most interesting stuff for me, as I was never really fond of how it sounded so far

Yeah you'd think they'd learn to spring for the Big Boy web service on launch day by now.
Going off their YouTube, looks like major updates to Stage-73, Jup-8 and analog lab; new items are the Moog Vocoder, Juno 6 and Emu-II (edit: and Ob-X if you didn't have it).

Yes, can't open ASC or download any updates.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:28 pm I can't get in to the Arturia site at the moment or log in via software center. What are the new instruments and updates? Is there a presser with some copy that can be added here?
Compared to V Collection 7: 4 new instruments, 2 updated instruments, 700 new presets, new Analog Lab 5, and some UI updates to all plugins.

Yeah, we might have killed their servers
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

I like the split payment option Arturia started last year. You can split the amount in up to 4 monthly payments. Last time, this got me over the fence. This time I am tempted, but need to resist.

That's what happens when every plugin has hundreds and hundreds of MB's of GUI resources and people try to download 20+ of them all at once.

i could get one time in... all is in overload. most of the times, i can get in, close to the biggest hub..LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:34 pmYes, can't open ASC or download any updates.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:28 pm I can't get in to the Arturia site at the moment or log in via software center. tempting upgrade, but will wait for the sale. and i wait for the bugfix for cubase (support is contacted, not in the release notes. bug is fixed or not. i hope). have v collection 7 + OB-Xa, so waiting seems to me good thing..
but nice job arturia (and even better when i can work, or better program the arturia synths the way i like in cubase).

haha, it doesn't work with paypal, so my resistance isn't futile.. this is a great upgrade. but i am repeating myself, i love to repeat, i will wait, and hope that the sale, for me, with OB-Xa already in possesion, will be very nice sale..LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:39 pm I like the split payment option Arturia started last year. I'm surprised Arturia aren't adding MPE to new instruments like they did for Pigments.

Arturia's website is sitting and spinning. I guess I will check back later. I received the email and was able to see the additions but then the web site ground to a halt. I suppose that is good for business
The new synths added to the collection look tasty. They have some stiff competition now from Roland directly, but Analog Experience and integration with my Keylab 88 are a big plus. Plus... OB.
