Peter, I rewatched some of the AT5 videos again, and I noticed a couple things that I have questions about:

1. I never once saw the gear browser on the right-hand side closed. Is it possible to hide it, or is it always visible? It would be annoying if you can't, and getting back that real estate would be useful, particularly when working with long stomp chains, so you don't need to scroll so much.

2. I also noticed I never saw any one-mic configurations graphically, even though there are several examples that only used 1 active mic. Also, during shots of the mic browser, it didn't look like there was an option for "none" anymore. Does this mean there is no way to hide mic 2 in a one-mic preset?

Upgrade/Crossgrade prices for IK users who have registered any IK products worth $/€99.99 or more.
Crossgrades only for IK users?
Unfortunately if you have the qualifying product registered you're and IK person, I mean user so that's the catch :D

I know I'm not the oldest here but I can't believe we've tiptoed in near-HPC territory but no soylent green joke yet?

I'm not sure if I answered the first one here or elsewhere but I know that right-hand pane doesn't collapse. Mic 2 does not have a choice for "none" but it would be muted fully if you use the mute button for it.

Peter, will you publish new videos before the release?

Will AT5 import AT4 presets?

At some point you should implement gear pane collapsing. Many people will find the always open gear browser to be distracting when they're trying to work, and they will complain. Not being able to hide the inactive mic will also be seen as an annoyance, but probably less so than the omnipresent gear browser, which people will rightly or wrongly claim is persistent IK marketing.

It's just bad design to have unnecessary clutter in your workspace when you don't need it.

I believe so but not 100% sure which.

Peter, thanks for the ongoing support. Just got my last minute preorder in :hyper:

The ability to use jam points definitely made the upgrade price more accessible for loyal customers and gave the extra incentive not to wait. Great to see you around. Makes being a repeat customer a more pleasant experience.

Cheers,

AC

Thanks, glad I could clarify some things and help folks out. I'll see what I can do on that front going forward.

We also just published another video, this one has the chains/routing featured so you can hear what that sounds like (especially nice having the wet/dry/wet for everything instead of just within the Brian May gear):

I'm also curious to know how people who bought AmpliTube Brian May are going to be able to access everything from their software in AmpliTube 5 CS without upgrading to SE or greater.

Will owning AmpliTube Brian May unlock Wet-Dry-Wet routing in AmpliTube 5 CS?

I thought I answered that here but may have been a different forum/thread. If you own the Brian May collection it will unlock the wet/dry/wet feature inside of AmpliTube 5 CS for free.

Edit - note that you'd still want AmpliTube 5 SE/5/MAX if interested in the upgraded cabs with 600+ IRs per speaker vs 16 per.

that right hand window not closing is looking a little concerning. oh well. i guess will have to wait to try it out next week. fwiw.. i did get SE. i like the tones i get from AT 4 so hope AT 5 will improve on them.

Well for me the consideration was this: in the box I use A4 more than any other rigs. To me, I also agree devs when making such large adjustments are due the monies for their work. I dont work for free very often and don't expect others to. Is the price of upgrade fair? Well that is in the hands of the user. Ive done without many years in my life and sometimes things change for better or worse. But I finally got a Helix and want the upgrade. Done deal for me.
