Then every synth out there has a lot more LFO's than it says on the box.zvenx wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 1:55 pm Hmmm...
Doesn't it mean that the synth has four lfo's but only one is freely assignable?
Which is what MK said.

Warlock has one LFO which is assignable to certain targets.

No the KVR way is to pick it apart based solely on a screenshot then when it is released scan it with a microscope to find any flaw no matter how insignificant.fisherKing wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:19 pm let's judge it before we hear it or try it; it's the kvr way...![]()
Well that's the way of some KVR members. Others will enjoy it for what it can do not complain about what it can't do.

if they can have different rates, parameters... then yes, there are 4 LFOs; one knob, that can have different rates, parameters... means 4 LFOs.chk071 wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:21 pmThen every synth out there has a lot more LFO's than it says on the box.zvenx wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 1:55 pm Hmmm...

altho kvr ppl can tear something apart even in advance of a screenshot (or, for that matter, any detailed information).Teksonik wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:37 pmNo the KVR way is to pick it apart based solely on a screenshot then when it is released scan it with a microscope to find any flaw no matter how insignificant.fisherKing wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:19 pm let's judge it before we hear it or try it; it's the kvr way...![]()

Why don't we wait for the demo to drop. Then we can make our judgments if Warlock needs another free LFO. FireBird only has one LFO and people have been using it happily for many years.
I realize that modulation is more important than composition these days but let's hear Warlock first before we try to find faults.
We can't make good judgments based only on the GUI.
Some people focus on a synth's weaknesses while others will focus on its strengths. Guess which is going to get the most out of the synth.

no, that's one lfo controlling 4 destinations.fisherKing wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:38 pmif they can have different rates, parameters... then yes, there are 4 LFOs; one knob, that can have different rates, parameters... means 4 LFOs.chk071 wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:21 pmThen every synth out there has a lot more LFO's than it says on the box.zvenx wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 1:55 pm Hmmm...

if the parameters can be set individually for each destination, then it's 4 LFOs with one knob.vurt wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 3:39 pmno, that's one lfo controlling 4 destinations.fisherKing wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:38 pmif they can have different rates, parameters... then yes, there are 4 LFOs; one knob, that can have different rates, parameters... means 4 LFOs.chk071 wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:21 pmThen every synth out there has a lot more LFO's than it says on the box.zvenx wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 1:55 pm Hmmm...

I'm not really getting a 1,000 LFOs vibe from this; there are plenty of other synths on the market if you want that sort of thing. I'm more interested in how it sounds and whether the limited feature-set is well implemented *making for a streamlined and fun experience!

Exactly !PieBerger wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 3:52 pm I'm not really getting a 1,000 LFOs vibe from this; there are plenty of other synths on the market if you want that sort of thing. When I first looked at the full gui I saw the "Hypersaw" section and thought "Cool, I wonder how that will sound? Can't wait to give it a try".
Other people looked at the full GUI for the first time and thought "Ehh only one LFO".
That's the difference in mindsets.

Noone here still has been using this synth so far. You should wait with conclusions till you have used the product and built own sounds with it.
- The speed of all 4 LFOs can be changed.
- 3 of them can also synced to BPM.
- The waveform of 3 of them can be changed.
- One of them can be routed freely to many different targets. The routing of the others is fixed.
Keep in mind that Warlock is a synth with a limited feature set for $59. It should be easy and fun to use. The GUI should be simple and also beginner-friendly.
If you are looking for a complex synth that 'can do anything' you should take a look at Icarus2.
