This makes me feel much better because it means that they haven't changed their previous policy. It also makes me feel better about moving ahead with upgrading to V Collection 8.
I'm on V Collection 6 and no the Jup-8V and Stage-73V haven't been updated to V4 and V2 respectively. Those new versions are available to download in ASC, but only in demo mode.

Sad Panda right there, but at least in 6 months or so when they drop our upgrade from $299 to something reasonable for their annual sale there's more to play with. I honestly never use the 8V or the Stage 73, I've got better options, but if the new versions are fantastic it will be worth the wait I guess.

The newer versions of Jup-8V and Stage-83 V are not part of V Collection 7, they are part of V Collection 8.

And as said before (let me know if I’ve got this wrong) it seems Arturia used to upgrade synths in the V collection for all users who had a license for any version e.g. V Collection 6 users got B3 V2 when V Collection 7 was released despite V Collection 6 only having B3 V which looks to me that they have changed their upgrade strategy.

No, you are correct. I think the "official" line in this case is that the newer versions are complete overhauls and hence no longer the same instruments.

In V5-> V6 most instruments were updated (with new GUI etc.) V+1 and this update wasn't available to the V5 users, only in V6. So they change their strategy dependent on the work done I think.
It seems Jup-8 V4 was a alot of work which makes it more than a point release, so they included it only in V8 to pay their work. Totally valid thing.

Fair enough. I guess they’re not the first company to be inconsistent over upgrades.

I don't think that Arturia has had any fixed "upgrade strategy" - I have purchased every VCollection since the ver 3. The pricing, number of new instruments, old instrument updates, and included Analog Lab upgrades/presets have varied - and some of the free instrument updates between the version upgrades gave been essential, such as the Spark 2.
Lately version the upgrade pricing has been rather steep during the first year, but because there are so much stuff in the old versions to use and test, anyway, I"ve always had time to wait for the lower price.
Good work, Arturia.

I am lucky! For me Arturia did not pull out anything interesting in V8. I could hardly resist V6 and then after enough waiting got V7. To resist V8 is easy peasy... puh, I am broke anyway...

I've been trying to download the updates for V7 for days. I've only downloaded 2 synth-updates so far ... Why are the servers so slow. :x :scared: :( :help:

Besides the 3 new plugins, they updated Stage-73, Jup-8 and Analog Lab.
On top of that, I think most (or all) the plugins had these other updates:

New Browser
New Preset Library
New side panel with:
New Global & Preset Settings menu
New Brightness, Timbre, Time and Movement Macro controls
New MIDI Controller and Config menu
New built in Tutorials

There are Dec. 2020 updates for all the V 7 instruments (except for Jup 8 V 3) in your account products. Clicking the download for Jup 3 takes you to the V 4 upgrade. But take note they all show Win 8.1 as the minimum requirement for us PC users.
It might be nice to give us V7 owners a "special bundle price" on just those four new instruments.
Otherwise, I find nothing tugging my GAS strings to be really interested in this. Seems too much of a trade off rather than addition to.
