Thanks g-man! What do you like about it?gondii wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 10:06 pm I had my eye on it for a while and jumped at it at that price. So far I'm really liking it.
Also:
(I always take what Wytse says with a grain of salt, plus I often find him annoying. So... Well, I guess it can't hurt that he likes it.)

Anyone can explain to me the sidechain section ? Why is it a Lowpass instead of a Highpass filter ?

Yeah, a really strong one: It's BeatSkillz, so avoid it at all costs
My experience was that the only way to get an update to a plugin was to purchase it again directly from BeatSkillz. My account with them also vanished so the plugins I did buy direct were gone. I kept the receipts but their support was very unhelpful and rather unfriendly. Utterly atrocious practices. But at least you should be OK with Plugin Boutique's user area system and updates.
On top of this they rarely fix major bugs.
Even for $10 instant vaporware, I wouldn't go near it, "dawg"

I re-demo'd it a few days ago. Seems pretty un-colored (tho I don't have platinum ears, so take my opinion here accordingly), and for that, I think I have plenty of options already. All things considered, I gave it a pass.

I would run away fast.

What am I missing here? The company is Tone Empire, not Beatskillz?
Edit: I guess they are connected. Didn't know that.

But
You buy it through Tone Empire, you cannot buy it directly from Beatskillz.MogwaiBoy wrote: Sat Feb 12, 2022 9:12 pm My experience was that the only way to get an update to a plugin was to purchase it again directly from BeatSkillz. This is going to have be a no for me too, dawg.
These guys are the worst. Taking advantage of newbs that don't know better.
They're only recently started coding their own plugs and boy does it show it.
Their oversampling is a joke that consumes far more CPU than any of dev.
They just don't know what they're doing and they want to charge people to pay
for their poor programming skillz. Friends don't let friends buy Beatskillz/Tone Empire.

Plugins are really buggy, but they do sound good. The Tone Empire stuff is a big improvement on the Beat Skillz plugins anyways. Their take on the 2500 is interesting, as is Goliath, but as others have said, their oversampling implementation is jokes and the developer comes across a tad dubious hence why i've only bought their stuff on sales from PB
I have OptoRed, but don't think it's made it onto anything thus far. Truthfully, i have very little use for levelling amp style comps anyways, but it held its own with my UAD2 LA2A on the few occasions i did
