I added many new Hypersaw modes, which are exclusive to Warlock. The Hypersaws can now also play chords and stacked sounds.Teksonik wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 7:39 pmSo you can tell by a picture what a synth sounds like ? You know exactly what "Hypersaw Autochord 3X" sounds like just by looking at the gui ?
Well if you have no interest in the synth then you have no interest in this thread. So have a nice day.![]()

Ok, then Tone2 should really write in the specs that this synth has 4 LFO's.AnX wrote: Thu Dec 10, 2020 6:16 amlooks like facts don't seem to sink in very wellchk071 wrote: Wed Dec 09, 2020 11:35 pm.
It's just that I like facts. And, fact is, the synth has 1 LFO. Period. No hard feelings.
even if an lfo is hardwired to vibrato, it's still an lfo
even if all you can control is the speed, it's still an lfo
you seem to be claiming that unless all parameters are visible and it can be routed to any destination, its not an lfo..... that's not a fact. it might not meet your expectations, but that's irrelevant
Or not?

I was able to build AU and native M1 Silicon now. Unlike what Apple advertises it was not easy at all. The systems specs will be:
System requirements:
PC: Windows 7, 8, 10 (64 bit)
Mac: MacOS 10.11 or higher, MacOS 11
Supported formats:
PC: VST 2.4 (64 bit), VST 3.7 (64 bit), Standalone
Mac: VST 3.7 (64 bit); AudioUnit (64 bit); native support for Intel CPU and M1 Silicon CPU

Cool, I'm looking forward to hearing how those new modes sound.Markus Krause wrote: Thu Dec 10, 2020 8:25 am I added many new Hypersaw modes, which are exclusive to Warlock. The Hypersaws can now also play chords and stacked sounds.

why do all kvr threads fall apart?
meanwhile, the DEVELOPER says there are 4 LFOs, so there are 4 LFOs, however they're accessed (we'll find out).
and NO ONE can describe the sound of something they haven't heard, no matter how many times they look at a screenshot of a GUI...

If you see certain names appear you can be sure the thread goes into nonsense nirvana.HcDoom wrote: Thu Dec 10, 2020 7:19 pm Another thread destroyed by the same person. Dont know why mods tolerate this?

but, like all kvr threads, this is still salvageable, if we get back on track.
i am looking forward to this; i've used (almost) all of the tone2 synths, and (am sure i mentioned this before), icarus 2 is a go-to,an impressive synth.
if warlock is $60, i will be happy if it sounds like an $60 synth. or... whatever. i just look forward to hearing it, trying it... always the best way to judge a plugin.

Yup, one of the reasons I don't really come here often anymore. Aww well.
Loved Firebird, still do, and workflow wise this seems like it'll be in the same ballpark. Colour me interested

So we know what it looks like and we've speculated about what it sounds like, but what we really need to know is what does it smell and taste like?

you can tell just by looking at the screenshot of the GUI! that's how the magic happens, here on the kvr forums.PieBerger wrote: Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:57 am So we know what it looks like and we've speculated about what it sounds like, but what we really need to know is what does it smell and taste like?

Meanwhile I've built over 130 sounds now with Warlock. This is what I noticed:
- The engine covers a larger sonic range and different sonic sweet spot than I expected
- It is exteremly stable. No single crash within a week (I work on PC with Windows 10)
- The spectral morphing is nice for atmos, pads and experimental sounds, but I didn't use it too much for the other categories
- I was able to create many really new and useful sounds
- All features fit well together
- I can quickly get good results
- The phase-knob is more important than expected. Especially when you build sounds with short attacks
- I really can grant that the random-function works extremely well. I don't know any other synth which comes with such a good random feature
- It really shines for plucked, breathy and punchy sounds
- It can do nice Keys and leads
- The Ringmod works well for bass, plucked, keys, leads, atmo and pads. When you use it make sure that you don't detune the OSCs too much
- It's not the main focus, but it can also do very convincing analog sounds
- A few times I have come across the limitations of the modulation, but mostly was able to work around them
- The most important thing: I have fun building sounds and playing with it
