Hi! I would like to do live streaming on some weekends, one time playing vinyl records, and live patching the modular synth. Also possible that I interview someone or play a Fieldrecording. All audio for now.
Can anyone recommend some good software to stream, capture vinyl and live audio? Doesn’t have to be for free. Hardware suggestion maybe too, for now I’ve been using M-audio and focusrite the 8x scarlet. Mac or pc doesn’t matter I think my ages old MacBook should be still up for some recording stuff (I guess).
Thanks!

OBS Studio is a standard tool for streaming / video recording, and it's free. It can handle custom audio setups and multi-camera scenes switched on a fly.
I use it myself for a Youtube channel. more content coming soon

Thank you!
Should I get a separate phono preamp or go via an outside mixer ie do the mixing before orin the software?
Also i'd be curious to hear what platforms people like nowadays. I know stuff like spreaker and mixlr, as they're dedicated audio sites.

Have you considered a DJ mixer with a built-in USB audio interface?
You'll get 2 phono preamps, a mic and a few line channels with analog EQ.
I got a Numark M6 for a single gig I did in 2015, it's now a handy piece in my basement studio.
@DJ Warmonger - OBS looks great, my wife needs something for making school videos with a couple audio streams & screen captures.
