What we have here is the sound of a concert harp playing octave tremolos across the instrument’s full range. What you get when you spread this across a keyboard and start playing chords is a rainstorm of tiny orchestral details that weave in and out beautifully.

This is really cool. One really great use of samples is general is making big textures by playing chords using techniques such as tremolo, which 1. would be impossible to play chords with in real life and 2. get a lot more interesting when each note of the chord's pulses are out of sync with the others. This really takes full advantage of that.

Thanks! That was really the big idea behind it. I find that tremolos played on one note sound sinister and cartoon-ish. Octave tremolos, especially when playing chords, create loads of interesting complex details that what would be impossible in real life. Glad you like it!
