Driver can actually work well on guitar. Try the Space Foxx preset. You can get a sort of crazy digital octave fuzz thing going on.

Sounded more like a ring modulator to me. Not my thing.dannyhawaii wrote: Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:54 am Driver can actually work well on guitar. Try the Space Foxx preset. You can get a sort of crazy digital octave fuzz thing going on.
I'm finding it hard to get to a sweet spot. It seems like it goes from a hint of static with rolled off treble to uncontrolled speaker frying squelchiness.

Agree, it's a hard beast to tame for sure. When I want that effect it's great but not for subtle stuff imo.Magic Russ wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 4:02 am I'm finding it hard to get to a sweet spot. Could I suggest preceding it with some eq and/or messing with your pickup settings.GaryG wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 2:23 pmAgree, it's a hard beast to tame for sure. I used Guitar Rig 6 Pro in the latest Plugin Minute video. I find the update nice but they could raise the level even more. Missing IR file compatibility, more strange effects like UA Triad,... nonetheless, it can sound pretty amazing

Apple Silicon happened.
But new components are in development, I can say at least that.

It's a shame Apple has to waste so many developers' time. But it is pretty cool that NI is developing new components.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Exactly. It's like the world will end if software isn't updated to support the latest Apple hardware and OS.
OTOH, being an engineer too, I realise this gives employment to software developers.
Hopefully we will see some good updates in 2021 for Massive X and Guitar Rig 6 in particular.

On their company forums they said:
we have several ICM components in the oven. Unfortunately, the current Covid-19 related lockdown rules slows down our development. So, please be a bit patient with us here. We want to deliver great quality to you. This takes a bit of time under the current circumstances.
