Did you check the "Upgrade version" instead of Full in the dropdown menu?phil.harmoniq wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 1:06 pm Peter, is this a bug? Why did the price suddenly jump up?...![]()

WILL NOT AUTHORIZE VIA PRODUCT MANAGER or via AUTHORIZATION MANAGER!!!! NOR WORK RIGHT W/ MY INTERFACE (MOTU 828 MK II)!!
Even though Product Manager says when clicking the far right 3 lines icon, in the list of auth'd products that appears on the RH side, "Amplitube 5 authorized correctly" [if only that were true].
Clicking the Authorize button in Product Manager does not work -- the animated circles spinning gif appears briefly but the Authorize lock icon does not change into the circle w/ check mark and change the word to Authorized. If Product Manager were a human, I'd fire it now. Please rename it to Product Mismanager.
And it is saying 9 authorizations remain, so one has been used up when installing.
And also, can't authorize via Auth'n Manager app either -- it says it gets authorized -----> but it too lies, and AT 5 remains unauthorized.
But wait, there's more -->
It also ISN'T WORKING properly w/ my MOTU 828 Mk II interface (as AT 4 does w/ no problem) — AT5 gets input sound only when the 828's input in AT 5 Settings is set to the 828's Mic/Inst. inputs only, and I can't select in AT 5 settings and use as is my set up the SPDIF input (I plug the guitar into a separate ART preamp that is connected via SPDIF into my MOTU 828) (and, no, I don't want to and cannot change that to use the Mic/Inst. inputs on the 828, I want AT5 to work right with this, as does AT4 and every other amp sim I have).
BACK TO V4 for me now, so I can play the "I didn’t (yet) get what I just paid for" blues.

Can I "upgrade" if I've never owned Amplitube? Kinda weird to advertise upgrade pricing to people who don't own the previous version.tappert wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 1:14 pmDid you check the "Upgrade version" instead of Full in the dropdown menu?phil.harmoniq wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 1:06 pm Peter, is this a bug? Just install AmpliTube 5 CS and restore your gear. You will then have everything you own unlocked in AT 5 and you can compare it to AmpliTube 4 yourself. You just won’t have all of the intermediate mic positions for your AT 5 cabs until you upgrade to a paid version of AmpliTube 5. You will be able to continue using AmpliTube 4 as you have been.vdk-john wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 1:53 pm If someone here owned the previous version of the dual rectifier amp and is going to upgrade, I'd be curious to hear how it compares
Thanks

I guess I'll just stick with 5, there are only a couple of things I wanted in MAX.

In this case, IK Multimedia extended the Upgrade price to those users who could Crossgrade from another qualifying IK product. Generally Crossgrade prices are higher than Upgrade prices.phil.harmoniq wrote: Wed Dec 16, 2020 2:01 pmCan I "upgrade" if I've never owned Amplitube? Confirmed here, thanks. Kudos to IK for fixing the auth prob so fast!

To be honest, $299 is the price for just one boutique stomp so we can't really complain about it but as most of IK customers, marketing is doing their best to make things complicated and frustrating
